@AAbed1984 Of course. all consoles (including ps3 and xbox 360) are outdated for like 4 years. If you compare it to a gaming pc you'll see that the specs are inferior to a gaming pc. A PS3 still uses the gtx 7800 which is about 80% slower than most of today's high-end gpu (5970, 580).

The massive video card is for retarded frame rates while still maintaining high quality. Also, its pretty hard to play a fps in 30 fps.....

@dirtykeskin its probably a lie, maybe the card has 1GB of physical Vram and can steal 1GB of virutual ram off of your RAM. for instance my card (low-end) ATI HD Radeon 5450 1GB DDR3 has physical vram of 1GB but it has the ability to steal up to 1.7GB off of my RAM. so ATI would plainly just claim the card has 2.7GB which it doesn't.

Yes Windows 7 (DirectX 11) makes also use of your RAM, But a friend told me, ATI HD 5970 Specs says its 2GB, But after you put the Hardware on your PC you will just see 1GB, like u may know GTA 4 (PC GAME) needs 1190MB of videocard to play it on Maximized Details and Distance etc. I got a Nvidia GTX 480 and it shows 1.5GB, and it also uses my RAM, when i look in Start/Run/Dxdiag it shows that i have over the 3000MB of video memory, thats RAM+GPU in 1. ATI may also do that

@dirtykeskin Yea, the graphics cards these days find ways to fool the consumers. The best graphics card in the world right now probably only has 1GB of memory (physically). However it can take advantage of your ram and turn it into so called virtual memory (which is crap) The graphics cards that people should really be looking for is ones with fast memory not just ones with most memory. For instance 512MB of DDR5 video memory is better than 1GB of DDR3 video memory. (im no expert thou) cheers.

Yes they try to fool us thats a nice one, But dude the videocard with most GB is GTX 480 now, It says its 1.5, and after you install its 1.5, its the orginal count, RAM didnt counted with it. so what i want to say is the best GPU now is not 1 GB but 1.5 for being clearly. but you are right with ddr5 for sure, i just buyed a 6GB DDR3 Kingstom value SD Ram with a i7 950, i will have it this 17th. and now you talking about ddr5 :( :p.

DDR5 is VRAM (Video Ram) a.k.a graphics card memory. so ur ram is very fast. i got ddr3 as well. however my graphics card is also ddr3 (i wanted ddr5 but they are very costy). YOu are also right with the GTX 480. i forgot. nice one. but it cost like half a grand.
