I going to tell a lie. Since the start of Northern ireland, the protestants have been just, fair and kind to all in the nationalist community. They have made sure they are counted in their cities and towns by giving them jobs, the vote and warm spacious homes to live in. They have treated them with the upmost respect and treated them like their equals. Not only this but they have respected the nationalist heritage and been considerate not to wave their own in the nationalists faces.

Im all for the protection of the rights of the protestant and catholic communities but I have very little respect for Paisley, he may not have pulled any triggers but he fed and lived off hatred,insecurity, and fear. as of 2005 there were only 737,412 catholics and 895,377 Protestants. Not even gerry adams could argue there's going to be a catholic majority in the next 30 years. there is broad consensus that the communities will probably only remain on parallel with a slight protestant majority for at least the next 80 years and as for the assembly - does it have the power to introduce a united ireland?

It will happen at some point. Sport, tourism, finance more and more, being done on an all-Ireland basis. The Catholic population will grow slightly faster. Immigration is a factor too. A lot of Poles are coming across. The Polish are Roman Catholic, they will more probably stay in the Catholic community. The futures looking bright for Ireland. Fianna Fails gonna give Sinn Fein a bit of competition
