THERE ARE INDEED 7 LAYER OF ATMOSPHERE .the exosphere is also regarded to be the part of outer space because of the fact that there is not separate distinction of the outerspace from exosphere(its form wikipedia)

the ionosphere magnetosphere are not actually separate layers themselves .Ionosphere is present in the starto meso and exo sphere similarly the case with ozone and magnetosphere there are not separates layers themselves

Every time a text in the quran says sth stupid or cruel you start looking for excuses of claiming that it is "badly translated", "it is out of context", not when it says sth positive. The quran repeats it in 67:5 that "stars are in the closest heaven", so the 7 heavens that the quran repeats are not the layers of the atmosphere. Even worse, 67:5 says sthing very stupid, it claims that "STARS ARE MISSILES TO SHOOT THE DEVIL"..HA HA HA HA. I THOUGHT STARS WERE HUGE SUNS

When we shoot something it is the bullet and not the gun that chases the target . Likewise, it is not the star that chases the target but it the fire from the star. My friend, many people get guidance from the Quran but at the same time people go astray as well. It all depends on the intention with which the Quran is approached .

Wrong interpretation is possible but Quran is perfect.

The seven heavens is an ancient believe that has been proved wrong for centuries but Muhammed integreated it in the coran because it was the belief of his time. According to it every known celestial body that moved in the sky had a heaven: Mercury, the Moon, the Sun, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn = 7. Now muslims try to avoid this serious mistake by saying that it is taking about the 7 layers of the atmosphere BUT 41:12 SAYS THAT "GOD PUT THE STARS IN THE CLOSEST HEAVEN OF THE 7". IMPOSSIBLE

Quran does not claim seven layers of atmosphere. Seven skies does not mean layers of atmosphere. It is myopic. Man has so far crossed the atmosphere and reached various planets of solar system. They have not reached the first sky. This does not mean that there are no skies.

The Arabic word سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ is used which does not mean seven layers of atmosphere.

Wrong translation has confused you . The correct translation is SEVEN SKIES. Sky is further explained in Quran whcih proves that it is solid material thing which is not discovered so far by us. I dont owe you any reply.

He first deliberately translated wrong then built entire case against Quran. There is obvious mistake in translating سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ as seven layers of atmosphere.

"If they see a part of sky falling" as Quran says. Can it be for layers of atmosphere?

This vid. was prepared on a misunderstanding and mistake. Quran does not say seven layers of atmosphere. It is seven heavens or seven skies. Scientists could not find first sky so far. This does not confirm that there is no sky. It is yet to be proved. The layers are in atmosphere. There could be many more layers of atmosphere. Skies are not layers.

Anyway sg1e, you are looking at the Quran and Islam with jaundiced eyes to start with. So, you are anti-Science at the first place by stating that the Ozone Layer is not a layer. I totally agree there are 5 MAJOR layers in our atmosphere, but there are also other minor layers as well.

Similar analogy will be there are 3 MAJOR state of matters e.g. solids, liquids and gases, but there are other states as well such as plasma.

the problem is that the nuber 7 is extremely arbitrary. You have 5 main layers and at least 4 other layers if mesured by certain specific factors.

Layer and atmosphere is not in the Quran. The word is heaven. 7 heavens and 7 earths. This could have a different meaning. For example there can be 7 universes. We only know this one to a point yet according to our limited knowledge in astronomy. There can be 7 planents with life in universe and so forth.

The quran never even mentioned the atmosphere, but Harun Yayha and his fans decided to apply heavens as atmosphere.

Arabic is a very rich language with far more words than English. Even English has different words for heaven, atmosphere, universe and space. Interestly, heaven (or more accurately, 'celestial paradise') has been applied to any of these 4 different things whenever it suits the person arguing a scientific miracle.
