the lineup turned out good when i avoided all the boring indie acts. btw the strokes might as well have had cardboard cut outs on stage and played a cd over the speakers.
I'm really gutted i didn't go, heard great things. Ended up going to y-not festival....feeder, maximo park, the rifles, miles kane and plenty all for £65 for the weekend. Had a right laugh. I Want to do a big fest next year.
I went to Y-Not festival thios year...Feeder, Maximo Park, The Rifles, Sonic Boom Six, Viva Brother, Danananakroid and Maximo Park were all among the lineup and it was only £65 ;)
Although with all that said I still would love to go to Leeds this year, not a fan of BMTH and not heard much of the blackout but yes I did miss a load of good bands off.
@trentsmate Yeah can't wait, i've only got the Sunday for Muse. Don't like any of the other bands tbh and i've seen The Strokes and MCR before. I'm more worried about trying to piss in a bottle lol so i dont have to leave the crowd when trying to get closer and closer to the front before Muse take to the stage. So want to hear Hyper Music
@GreedySpoon Yeah i wanted to see them at Reading just so i can record the performance or watch it off youtube. I'm kinda looking forward to Elbow aswell as i've seen them support Muse back in 2003 plus have met them so would be cool to watch them before Muse
@trentsmate i've got tickets to go on the sunday and i'm only going to see Muse just so i can hear all the Origins songs. I don't even like any other band going that day ha. Will go and see elbow though as i've met them and watched them support Muse back in 2003 though
@trentsmate I KNOWWWW! IT IS THE BEST ALBUM! Haha, you've been doing your research!:} Origin of Symmetry is their most experimental album they've done!
hellooo :) well since you've prob gone before, i got some questionss (its my first time btw) I really really want to see Midnight Beast but i only have day tickets. So, how long before they play should i be at the festival republic tent you think? Oh! and what time should i get to the festival in general, are there queues for wristband exchange or even just getting into the arena?
The festival republic stage wasn't the busiest stage in 2009 and I doubt it's gonna be any different this year. I recommend getting there as early as possible.
I did the full weekend back in 2009 and I got there 6:30am thursday morning and it was really busy then! Took us about an hour to get in to get our wristbands.
My advice is get there early and make a full day of it! Get to the stage early before the act you want to see and get a good spot :)
@Derpaherpa123 thats your opinion. personally, im quite a big fan of the band and its music, and im seein them at reading, and whilst everyones alowwed an opinion, i'd appreciate it if you kept it to yourself, cause others mignt not gree? and also, i havent said anything negative towards you,or about your music taste, so if youve got nothing nice to say, lets shutting the fuck up would be appreciated :D (not being horrible or nothing)
EXCUSE ME SIR! in your mentioning of god bands you seemed to have not mentioned 30 seconds to mars. maybe you were saving them for a 'great bands' video, but you should have said them. :P
Bought a ticket in hope leaked lineup was faKE... OH WELL I'll see Muse atleast and there are couple of goods bands in the nme tents on the friday. Giving rise against and the offspring a try. Overall v. dissapointed nothing on last year, which I went to I think that was a one-off
Firstly, may I congratulate you on your love of HIM, I too am a devoted fan and love all their stuff. Anyways I saw Enter Shikari in 2009 on the main stage and then again in 2010 on the Radio 1 stage at Reading. I firmly believe that they were much better on the Radio 1 stage - later, smaller crowd, cramped, sweaty, darkness = great light show. All these things added up to a fantastic performance from St Albans finest!

I've seen the download lineup and its amazing...SOAD...say no more.
I doubt you can catagorise Madness or The Offspring though as mainstream indie fag bands. I think someone went a little over the top there ;)

Ah its good to see Madness are on the line up, and should be totally awesome to see Beady Eye and see if Liam can match up to Oasis live, plus Pulp :D been a long time haha kings of Britpop :P
I think the line-up is pretty good, i mean MCR, MUSE, 30STM, Panic, Jimmy eat world, white lies, the strokes, new found glory. I like all of them.
