Are you kidding me? He's made more of a difference then any candidate in this whole election! Do you understand how many people around the country are running for state and national office becuase of Ron Paul's message? I believe most of his money is going to the Liberty PAC which is helping these people on their campaigns. 4 years from now will be a whole different election because of the impact he made this year.

Dr.Paul is saying that people should be allowed to stay with their property. What happens if, as a result of this choice, many thousands of people will die without helicopter rescues, etc? Is the federal gov't supposed to stand by and watch? I suppose each state could have its own emergency vehicles/teams, but the same principle applies --namely, why should the tax dollars of the person who evacuated be used to rescue all the people who refused? What's the libertarian view on all this? Anyone?

How about Hurricane Gustav, exactly the same size as Dolly, yet handled with a completely different attitude. i woke the next day to everyone coming out and rebuilding right away, no whining, the help that was available was appreciated, and life went on. It's proof that Ron Paul's idea of depending on ourselves and each other as neighbors is a successful way to approach crises.
