It's not just poachers for some of these animals, a lot of it is indirectly happening like logging, pollution, killing off one animals food source which starves the other. Plus there are so many animals that NEED each other to survive so if man hunts off one, they are basically destroying the other :( it's really sad but who knows, maby in the future we cab go back in time and come back with a once extinct species, I like to think that at least...

You forgot about the Hawksbill it is also critically endangered and it is not possible for it to be held in captivity. If you want to find our more watch my video: The endangerment of the Hawksbill sea turtle. Just type that in on youtube and the picture with the leaves and the shell of the turtle will give you an insight to the life of these creatures!!

Tarsiers is lokal here in philipines and you can only see it in bohol where they can be found along the chocolate hill's good thing our stupid goverment held a protection program for these cute animals by the way last time i saw a tarsier it was tense and it turns it 's head more than 180* degrees... so if you wanna see them do not scare it.. like my friend do becuz t it will kill it self..... Just thought i'd clarify that golden tabby tigers aren't a species, they're a variety of colour. The variation comes from the dominant colouration of normal markings, along with a recessive gene, possibly the 'wide band gene'. Just incase people were thinking it was a seperate species (:

Wouldn't some of these animals be 'functionally' extinct,in that there are so few of them that even if they did breed,it'd be inbreeding,and therefore detremental(sp?) Why we haven't started an 'ark' for these animals the way we have the world's rarest plant seeds,I have no idea.

The Mexican Gray Wolf is the rarest wolf in the world and the rarest mammal in North American. Also once extinct in the wild like the Red Wolf but down to only 5 individuals. Today there are less than 50 in the wild and about 350 in the world. Slightly rarer than the Red Wolf and with a much greater struggle.
