that's a great point, but there ABSOLUTELY is a comparison. Both are backup freshman QB's thrown into a game they weren't supposed to play in. Garrett was the backup on a 13-0 team with an avg margin of victory of 25 points. He should have had more experience and thats a mistake by the UT coaches. Saban got conservative is why bama didn't do much offensively in the second half.McCoy going out not only changed Texas's gameplan, but also Alabama's. They prepared for the McCoy offense. I believe the game would have been alot closer and more dramatic if McCoy was in, but I still think Bama would have pulled it out.

Alabama was playing conservative after they had a 18 point lead. The defense of Texas was "dominating" because the tide only ran the ball. There was no need to pass the ball. Mcelroy only threw a few passes the entire game. Texas would not have beat Alabama even if they had Colt. Im an Auburn fan so you can beleive me when I say I wish Texas would have won but they just dont have the skill that Alabama has. This game was dominated by Alabama.

It's like they didn't even work on him at all. No evidence that he's at one of the top teams in the country. Texas defense did no dominating.
