I had the privilege of chatting with one of Mother Moody's Daughter's yesterday at a homegoing service at Historic St. James Baptist Church. We fondly reminisced about when we used to go over to visit her at her home home and chat for hours. How fantastic it was to see this video of her at her best.
How is the choir arranged on the choir stand?is it first row 1st soprano 2nd row 2nd soprano third row alto and last row tenor bass and baritone?i always wanted to know that?
Wonderful, wonderful it is to see this old solider still on the battlefield fighting for our Lord, obviously with a faith that is strong as ever. praise the Lord for Mother Moody, fight on.
I understand. Mother Moody was quite the lady. I remember visiting her home. she had an organ in there and would talk about Rev. Nicks, coming by playing it.
I remember when I first came to St James and Sidney introduced me to Mother Moody - little did I know that she would be so instrumental in my life when it came to singing, and playing her songs. She loved to hear me play and she was often surprised that I was so young and knew all the gospel (Pearl) standards. Growing up in Bessemer, AL around gospel singing family and church musicians, I learned quickly. At the age of 12, I was playing the organ for a choir. It was always a blessing for me.
Thank you for sharing these videos. I remember Mother Moody singing , "I Said I Wasn't Going ToTell Nobody but I Couldn't Keep It to Myself" with the Senior Choir . When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be! Yes Sir!
Mother Moody was special. I remember going to her home in Detroit. She was such a source of information. She loaned me a music book. I need the music for a song. Well our Mother Moody had it and said come on over sugar.
I tell ya....my heart gets so full whenever I see the seasoned saints bless God like this because I know they aint trying to impress but they singing from their experiences....from the depths of their soul. And lawd....when she hit that note at 2:20....I WENT IN....lol.
I was looking in my stash, and found this. It caught me off guard when she hit that note. I remember her doing it but, had forgotten. So, I took a quick praise break.

So, Mother Moody is the one that also sang "I Love The Lord" with Harold Smith & the Majestics?

You are correct. Sorry for the delay in my response. As, you may know the Majestics recorded 8 LP's & Mother Moody is on most of them.
