One of the reasons Huckabee would make a great president is his compassion for children and what is fair. He would be a president for ALL people. Even the democrats would be happy with Mike as president. We have an honest, consistent man who is 100% good for his word, knows to be tough when it's necessary and compassionate. I have to agree with Romney on this one. There is only so much money to go around for education and it should be spent on citizens....especially since citizens are the ones actually paying the taxes.

Please realize that there is more money in the tax cut the highest classes just got than the combined taxes of most of the illegal immigrants.
Also realize that if you make under 17 thousand a year it is law that you do not have to pay an income tax. Most illegal immigrants would hope to make somewhere near that much. Most make under 12 thousand. Meanwhile they do pay every other tax, same as you. For their gas or their shampoo, and in the wages they get.

I think governor huckabees response was good. It would be hard topenalize a child for what their parents have done. This would be a hard line to follow. However I do think that if the child does not pursue this arena at the age when they become responsible for themselves they should then be treated asif they were illegals. They know what is right by this point and excuses should not be tolerated.

I agree that we shouldn't punish them for what there parents did. At time the get to college they are legal adults at that time staying in the country is illegal therefor THEY are committing a crime. As with all animals of this world, our natural instinct is to look after our offspring. If you have a life of poverty, you do not want your kids to have a life of poverty and will sacrifice yourself somewhat and take risks just to look after your kids. Imagine these positive laws for kids being printed on a travel brochure or a educational choices pamphlet in Mexico... Sounds a lot better than the alternative as the benefits will outweigh the risks.

Often the parents (being illegal immigrants) are paying BELOW minimum wage, and even AT minimum wage, American citizens often cannot pay their children's way through college.

Apparently Arkansas has unlimited tax money. Huckabee began to argue that there is no limit of scholarships. Really? you can hand out infinite number of scholarships? I have to agree with Romney on this one. There is only so much money to go around for education and it should be spent on citizens....especially since citizens are the ones actually paying the taxes.
There has to be a precident set that discourages people from entering the country illegally and currently there are too many mixed messages.

Please realize that there is more money in the tax cut the highest classes just got than the combined taxes of most of the illegal immigrants.
Also realize that if you make under 17 thousand a year it is law that you do not have to pay an income tax. Most illegal immigrants would hope to make somewhere near that much. Most make under 12 thousand. Meanwhile they do pay every other tax, same as you. For their gas or their shampoo, and in the wages they get.

I think governor huckabees response was good. It would be hard topenalize a child for what their parents have done. This would be a hard line to follow. However I do think that if the child does not pursue this arena at the age when they become responsible for themselves they should then be treated asif they were illegals. They know what is right by this point and excuses should not be tolerated.

I agree that we shouldn't punish them for what there parents did. At time the get to college they are legal adults at that time staying in the country is illegal therefor THEY are committing a crime. Once they become citizens then they have the same opertunities as we do. if they are here illegally then they are not paying taxes! If there not paying taxes then YOU are paying to put them through college. You are also paying for their hospital visits, and other medical expenses.

As with all animals of this world, our natural instinct is to look after our offspring. If you have a life of poverty, you do not want your kids to have a life of poverty and will sacrifice yourself somewhat and take risks just to look after your kids. Imagine these positive laws for kids being printed on a travel brochure or a educational choices pamphlet in Mexico... Sounds a lot better than the alternative as the benefits will outweigh the risks.

So a legal student might lose a scholarship to an illegal student if the illegal student is somehow more qualified, taking immigration crimes out of the picture anyway.

I completely disagree... This man has no respect for American sovereignty. He will give amnesty to illegal immigrants, he can call it what ever he wants to- compassion, respectful, WWJD, etc... but the facts still remain the same. He will reward bad/illegal behavior. Last time I checked in my bible Christ talked about accountability-What happened to keeping people accountable for there actions? As a vet with two brothers serving over seas its evil that he would put illegals before soldiers

Any program that gives benefits to Illegal aliens or even the same, over hardworking Americans citizens is just plain stupid and truly un-American. It's like rewarding law breakers and penalizing Americans citizens. No more double talk or "Hillary" clitonain speak.

Most of the candidates from both sides along with CNN,Fox,MSNBC and all the talk-show hosts, are in bed with big corp., foreign govt., and other interests with wealthy means and lobbyist are serving as pimp so are the media outlets to facilitate this breach of contract with general-public.
