watchin spicks n specks last night for the first time, had that bike segment where one person jumps on the bike and rides it to power up a cd player playing a distorted song, the moment he started peddling i piped up sayin Old man emu and started humming it, john williamson is a true blue aussie legend seconded only by Slim dusty R.I.P
Me and my cousin had this CRANKED while driving through a track at Fraser Island, i can tell ya, the old man emu suspension were working hard on that track.

JW first sang this song in 1970 for the talent show New Faces, (he wrote it while on a tractor wheat farming in western NSW), he won! it was then released on Fabel, the first LP only sold 2000 copies and took him another 10yrs to release another album! JW you are a lving legend!!
