There is a better version of a dock called objectdock. it's better cause it disappears when you open a window. RocketDock doesn't.

it doesn't. rocketdock actually 'hides' behind the window. You can change the properties so that it will dissapear.

No It doesnt remove the taskbar you already have. If you don't like the mac-like taskbar, all you have to do is right click it and click "quit".

never understood the usefulness of the task bar...one of Macs' less impressive features. Its just like a Windows desktop except you have to scroll through it if you have a lot of things to choose from. Though it does have a few intuitive features.
