I agree with a lot of what you are saying, but truth is marriage is between a couple that can have children naturally. And as well tolerance is something that a large number of people have to do so they can get through it with out getting mad. Nasty word yes but an important part of human soceity. I'd be offended if anyone told me that they "tolerated" me. My wife and I had a civil union ceremony in NJ before moving here to Florida, and just like what you said, I hate that it's considered a civil union and not marriage. Actually homosexuality happens naturally in several different species. I think it's quite normal and most certainly not something anyone should have to get fixed.

I do like the bible, and there are alot of life lessons to learn from it. But it was meant to be flexible, and grow as times change. Hence there's the old testament and the new testament. You dont' see us stoning people any more do you? But the biggest thing the bible teaches is LOVE. What is so hard about that concept? It doesnt' say if they don't agree with you they should die, or be hurt. That thought goes against the most basic concepts in the bible.

Buddy, marriage deal with and ties directly into the church. So since christians and the church believe that gays go to hell when they die, why would they ever want to marry 2 gay people. It actually goes against our religion. Bottom line, I think they should have something for you people where you can get married or what not (forget about being christian). I could care less if the church had anything to do with it. It's just the principle of same-sex couples having the same benefits economically that heterosexual couples receive. Also being culturally recognized as equal would be nice.

OH I see, i thought that curch and state have separate for QUITE A WHILE NOW! a christian wedding ceremony DOES NOT constitute marriage in the eyes of the law! (what do you think the registry office is for) jesus christ himself could conduct the ceremony and still it not be LEGALLY BINDING. REMEMBER, the bible was written for people that didn't know that murder was wrong, not for an educated modern world (the bible DOES have some GOOD philosophical concepts BUT should NOT be taken literally)

Animals can't verbally consent to a relationship. Those sort of relationships are just animal abuse.
Two people, however, can have a loving, consenting relationship. I would call unions between people marriage.

Interesting point of view. Although i did not mean the people that have sex with animals. Even that though does not constitute something wrong. Some animals might like it. It is the exact same thing as if some one try to have anal sex with me i would say it is an abuse but for the guy next to me might be the best thing in the world.

Actually homosexuality happens naturally in several different species. I think it's quite normal and most certainly not something anyone should have to get fixed.
I'll have no regrets because there's nothing wrong with my way of life. It's just sad that you want to tell people how to live their lives. That's not normal.

There's nothing wrong with how I'm being myself. I'm not a perfect person, but I try to live in a respectful way. The path I'm on suits me because it's a sincere one.
I'm happy because I've found a way of life that allows me to love the people I want to love whomever that may be. I don't do it for the fun of "the bad stuff"...I live my life the way I do because it's right for me...not for everyone else.

I understand what you mean. Sometimes political correctness is a bit hypocritical...and I understand what you mean about tolerance and acceptance, however, I do think there's a slight difference.
Acceptance is a more sincere term...and I'd rather have someone like me honestly than have them tolerate me. You tolerate a foul smell or a pesky fly...not people.
