    **********

  • great job man! i love this song.

  • If I remember it right, wasn't there the same video in much better quality from you? What happend to that?

  • No this is the only one.

  • I would like to play drum like you! I'm gonna buy rock band 2 soon to play drum for fun! Nice drum, nice job! :)

  • is that a sabian 22" metal ride? the whole thing sounds good mate! nice playing, i enjoyed that :)

  • It's a Sabian 21" Hand Hammered Bell Dry Ride. Thanks!

  • Awesome Job!!!!!!!!!!! Just awesome! Congrats man! You've got the feeling, and that double pedal for the bass drum........ Kicks Ass!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great job!

  • The double bass drum thingie at the end gave me the goosebumps, great stuff mate.

  • epic song, brilliant job!

keep fighting for the truth :-)

  • very good...

  • what is the sound latency when you record?

do you record then match it with the song or can it play back song whily you record?

could you use this with acoustic drums?

how would you set it up with mics ecT?

  • There is no latency. I would never record audio and video separate and try to match it up later. All my videos were recorded using an inexpensive webcam with mic's going through a Alesis USB mixer. So you are watching Webcam video and listening to audio from an Alesis mixer. I'm keeping it simple.

  • cool

  • fucking SOUND man!!!

    well played

  • Great cover:)

  • Exelente...

  • great!

  • u are the best ¡yeahhhhhhhh! :D

  • bloody awesome, some outrageous fills. Makes me question why I use Drum Machines! Can never get better than the natural rhythm.

  • Thanks man, I was feeling good that day and it came out on the drums.

  • Congratulations man .... 10 Point !!!

    Greetings from Rosario in Argentina.

  • good job

  • awesome my friend

  • The Ride's sound on this song makes me freakin' crazy!

    Awesome!!!

  • The ride does sound great in this video. When I make videos now, I compare the ride sound to this clip.

  • How do you get that nice snare sound? I love it.

  • Don't forget it's not a real snare. It's a roland v-drum sample that I tweaked a little.

  • That was great--- thanks, very enjoyable.

  • Love the snare sound. :)

  • Very Good man...!!!

    Greetings from Caracas, Venezuela.

  • very good man!! not many people know that phil was sponsered Sabian! only you guys would know that real players i guess.

  • very good :)

  • what brand of drums are those?

  • They are Roland v-drums.

  • try Hand to hand

  • man, great sneaky hi-hats fills

  • bot bad, reminds me of collins himself

  • Wow, thank you.

  • that was tight, good job mate

  • S**t Hot! Good skills my man,,,

  • dude that was awsome!!!

  • just awsome!!!

  • GREAT JOB MAN!!!!!

  • im not a fan of genisis, but that was good

  • What type ride are you using, I know it is miked but it sounds killer!!!

  • Yea, It's a great sounding ride cymbal. It's only my second ride cymbal in 20 years of playing. It's a Sabian Hand Hammered HH Raw-Bell Dry Ride 21". My first ride cymbal is a Zildjian 20" Medium Ride.

  • Props dude...not many people can cover a genesis tune and sound decent...That was probably the best video of someone playing genesis I've seen!!!!

  • schön gemacht bist echt gut :)

  • fuck!!!mr drumster...rock on man..

try led zep series..u wud have 2 put more effort!!

    cong..keep going!!

  • Really nice... even if it isn't totally as the original one ;>

Very nice... don't know what else to say... Make other vids too, would be nice.

    -Eleni

  • love it but have a hard time with the vocals. thankds //OH

  • Seiously, that's just like awesome. If you haven't already you could go pro.

  • good job

  • Nice!! 5 stars

  • You did very good! Awesome! Keep up the good work man!

  • great job

  • On the cd the drum part is different! But that's pretty cool!

  • True, I didn't follow exactally. I don't like to study the songs too much before playing to them.

  • Biggest difference was the last verse. In the song, the ride cymbal takes over as the time keeper. This still kicks ass. Nice work with the bass kicking.

  • this is very cool! congratulations!!:D

  • great job man. how do you like the alesis usb mixer(i was just looking at one today)? did you use cubase or some other software? did you run the module through the alesis? have you tried over head condensers? they might help to keep the cymbals from over powering the sm,s.

    sorry for all the questions...

  • I love the Alesis mixer. It works great for what I use it for. I'm using a Logitech webcam and the webcam software is being told to record the audio straight from the mixer with the video. Condenser mics would help a lot. I should get some.

  • Enjoyable drumming!!... Now I know wy Lars Ulrich used that tennis hair lace over the headphones

  • And now we know why Keith Moon duct taped the headphones to his head!

  • Sure!! But that didn´t prevent his head to go loose .... cucack!!

  • i really love your setup. What kind of drums are they?

  • Those are the original Roland V-Drum Pro with the VD-10 module. I bought them in 1998.

  • Oh really????? wow i thought those were actual drumheads. it sounded really nice.

  • no splash cymbal please, it's straight ;-)

  • That was fantastic! Really impressive. I don't actually know this one too well, but great job. I have been covering older Genesis stuff myself - take a look!

  • super gemacht!!! mehr davon!

  • Very good Job! It's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome!

  • Awesome! Which pattern do you play on the ride-cymbal in the refrain?

  • It's different than what Chester Thompson does. I was accenting with the bell on Ah 1, Ah 2, Ah 3, Ah 4 for the most part and improvising more towards the end.

  • Richtig geil! Welche Figur spielst du denn beim Refrain auf dem Ride-Becken? Würde mich sehr interessieren...

  • Very impressive. Nice job.

  • That awesome, I love the drums in that song, i bet it took a while to learn it

  • hey, good job, i play this in my local band and deffiantly understand how hard it is to play.Rock On!

  • That's great man! I liked it very much!

  • tout simplement magnifique :O

  • wow!!! very nice

  • Pretty sweet! I bet it feels great to jam to Genesis music. Lucky!

  • hahaha impressive man! :) I wish I had the proper equipment myself to record stuff... Keep up the good work dude! ;) Nice smiling to the camera there when u got a bit off beat :P

  • haha yep, the headphones were really becoming a distraction towards the end. I don't mind leaving little imperfections in as long as I can recover quickly.

  • Great groove! Phil Collins is another of my favorites. Good job! Good audio mix too.
