In the end, she's better off with SME compared to JYPE or YG. At least you hear some news about her from time to time. YG is known to suck at promoting their female artists (ex: Kim Jieun) and with JYPE, their main focus is on Wonder Girls (where is Joo?). And to be honest, I don't even think YG or JYP would have even picked her as a trainee. The problem is that Liyin debuted way too early and she didn't make a lasting impression when she sang Timeless with Junsu. He basically overshadowed her.
No no i didn't mean it at all for her to move to YG or JYP. i'm juts saying that because i'm quite frustrated with her not being active in Korea.
Actually without SM, there will be no Suju/DBSK, my 2 favourite korean group. So i'm thankful for that. I really hope she could be more active in the future.

i think you guys are being a bit too hard on LSM I mean i know things hasn't worked out to quite how you guys expect it to you but you know what, LSM is trying to find what works and what doesn't works in getting Li Yin to where she needs to be. the end result being more exposure for Li Yin and Li Yin gaining more fans and more popular? Thats what matters and I think LSM knows that. IT takes time to get Li Yin to where she needs to be and you fans over at Chocolate is expecting way too much from her in such a short amount of time. Give SM time to work their magic, I think in the end it'll be worth the wait. You think boa got popular over night? HELL no, she had to keep working at it day after day, year after year. LSM knows that.
What I'm saying it, you don't have to like LSM, you don't have to agree with his methods, but you can't say that SM is ignoring her becoz they are NOT. SM Entertainment aren't ignoring any of their artists, especially Li Yin. An Artist like Li Yin comes along once a blue moon and LSM wants to do things right, they are not gonna rush her into fame, they are gonna do it and they are gonna do it at a pace so they aren't rushing her. Well the last time I heard, The Grace girls minus Stephanie were IN KOREA, PRACTICING for their SM town BANGKOK concert and their 'Dear ' promo in Japan ended already. They even posted in their blogs that they're looking forward to meet their fans in Thailand & that they can't wait for the concert. It was later on the same day that SM made announcement that the grace will not be joining "because of steph's condition".
that excuse for The Grace not going to Thailand because of Stephanie is a load of crap. It was already confirmed that The Grace minus Stephanie will be attending the presscon, they have been rehearsing for the concert til SM decided to pull them out & it wasn't because of Stephanie. It had nothing to do with Stephanie, LSM pulled them out because he plays FAVORITES.
I remember watching videos in the past where people were bashing her for her dancing. I felt bad for her because she's an AWESOME singer and ppl were picking on her for being less talented in dancing. I'm sure she felt the pressure of being "an SM artist who couldn't dance". So she worked on it and this video shows she's improved a hell lot. She's so talented, so hardworking. What more does SM want?! And (referring back to some old comments) I'm sure *both* JaeJoong and JunSu were jealous. haha
liyin has come such a long way, she has improved in so many aspects since her timeless days, i'm so glad that people are still watching this vid..hope everything goes right for liyin in 2009 and she gets everything she really truly deserves...*cough cough* sm wake up!

Whenever I rewatch this performance of hers, I feel emo. She has improved so much, gosh. To imagine that she's been training so hard for the past two years trying to achieve amazing dance skills that SM is known for doing... *O* But gah, this dance srsly never fails to impress me. i agree. she has a good ear for the beat of the song and memorizes the moves to each beat but it lacks emotion. it looks like she learned each move and its unnatural and that should never be the case while dancing. it wasnt bad to watch but it could ve been better. she needs to let go! lol she s too much of a lady to really embrace that type of dancing i guess
I agree she does lack connection to the song and her own flair & style, but that will come later. she has just started off with training in dancing just recently, as SM has been mainly focused on her vocal training, so it's understandable.

Why are all ZLY fans so impatient? We have waited 18 months between her releases. That's the longest hiatus between releases of any -active- SM artist. That's nearly TWO YEARS.
And quite personally, I think we have the right to complain, considering other artists' fans complain when their artists have only "disappeared" for a few months, or they've stopped promoting new work.
ZLY promoted the same song for 7 months; SJM promoted the same song for 5 months. A difference, y/y?

Well in her case, she was especially trained to be a singer, so most of her training focused on her voice and not so much on her dance. She's only started to work on dancing recently, around 2007, i think? So for her this is pretty amazing.
For us fans that have been with her from the very beginning, we can see how hard she worked and how much she has grown, physically, mentally, but especially confidence-wise.
this is impressive as when she first debuted she was nervous just standing there.
But I'm just tired of LSM's neglect and lack of everything when it comes to Zhang Li Yin. She has the potential and everything it takes for her to become very successful, but it seems he won't invest & would rather play with SNSD. I'm getting tired of his blatant disregard for her. Especially being a Chocolate from the start, he's disappointed many of us by his use of tactics on Li Yin.
But I'll continue to support her no matter what, til the end ^^

What I would give to know what the hell is going on in LSM's head. & honestly I've given up on that "he has something up his sleeve" bit, I've been fooled one too many times. His empty promises will forever remain so, until he starts proving true to his words. I'm very skeptical when it comes to LSM. he's been treating Chocolates unfairly from the start when it comes to Li Yin.
But of course, Chocolates will never give up on Li Yin. Cuz if we do, she's the one that suffers & we don't want that.
Zhang Li Yin has one of the best voices I've ever heard (being a singer myself). I've asked my friends in China to please buy her CD's and listen to her but they'd never even heard about her. Gosh, LSM really needs to concentrate on some of the real talents. I miss this girl and CJSH.

For the reason why she's stiff. . i dont blame her . It seems to be that the floors quite slippery , not suitable for high heels to dance on. If u watch a current clip of the front angle, it's noticable that floor is slippery. Dont say she cant dance or that she's not sexy enough, she aint trying to pull a britney. (NO OFFENCE to britney loyal fans). Zhang li yin, has a dancing background as she was trained for four years in SM not on singing but dancing as well.
Actually, I think she only started serious training in dance recently (from 2006/2007 onwards). In an interview she said that she never received all that much training in dance, but was more focused on her voice/singing and whatnot. In fact, for her first OMT performance, she didn't have time to learn the choreography because she was so busy recording and preparing her album.

I dont know but...she isn't that great. I think its just because I read everyone's comments and it sounded like she did a over the top job but... I found it really stiff and awkward looking at points. She can execute the moves but, to me, she's only executing them, nothing else really. Nothing that couldn't come from a lot of practice. Anyway, this is one dance, I hope she can surprise me with something better then this.

I remember watching videos in the past where people were bashing her for her dancing. I felt bad for her because she's an AWESOME singer and ppl were picking on her for being less talented in dancing. I'm sure she felt the pressure of being "an SM artist who couldn't dance". So she worked on it and this video shows she's improved a hell lot. She's so talented, so hardworking. What more does SM want?! And (referring back to some old comments) I'm sure *both* JaeJoong and JunSu were jealous. haha

Whenever I rewatch this performance of hers, I feel emo. She has improved so much, gosh. To imagine that she's been training so hard for the past two years trying to achieve amazing dance skills that SM is known for doing... *O* But gah, this dance srsly never fails to impress me. Improved so much. She must be secretly getting vocal -and- dance lessons while in China or something.

I think she's been gone a long time only because SM wants to heavily promote there artists in china. And she's perfect. Which is good, she probably feels a bit more comfortable anyway. Although I miss her too!

Your live singing is not shaky and out of tune anymore.
This is your first time REALLY dancing, it's considered good moving in those HIGH HEELS on a slippery glossy floor.

i agree. she has a good ear for the beat of the song and memorizes the moves to each beat but it lacks emotion. it looks like she learned each move and its unnatural and that should never be the case while dancing. it wasnt bad to watch but it could ve been better. she needs to let go! lol she s too much of a lady to really embrace that type of dancing i guess

I agree she does lack connection to the song and her own flair & style, but that will come later. she has just started off with training in dancing just recently, as SM has been mainly focused on her vocal training, so it's understandable.
I don't know why though. They've been neglecting Zhang Li Yin ever since she has debuted, but I can see just how hard she worked for us, so I'm proud of her will continue to be an avid supporter.

Yes they do have other artists under their company but even the SNSD & SHINee, her dongsaengs, are getting more promos than her & they haven't been in the industry that long. her 1st album hasn't even been repackaged yet. They've been on more shows than her & SHINee even have their own show! I'm not saying that they don't deserve, but so does ZLY. that's all we ask.

Why are all ZLY fans so impatient? We have waited 18 months between her releases. That's the longest hiatus between releases of any -active- SM artist. That's nearly TWO YEARS.
And quite personally, I think we have the right to complain, considering other artists' fans complain when their artists have only "disappeared" for a few months, or they've stopped promoting new work.
ZLY promoted the same song for 7 months; SJM promoted the same song for 5 months. A difference, y/y?

Well in her case, she was especially trained to be a singer, so most of her training focused on her voice and not so much on her dance. She's only started to work on dancing recently, around 2007, i think? So for her this is pretty amazing.
For us fans that have been with her from the very beginning, we can see how hard she worked and how much she has grown, physically, mentally, but especially confidence-wise.
this is impressive as when she first debuted she was nervous just standing there.

But I'm just tired of LSM's neglect and lack of everything when it comes to Zhang Li Yin. She has the potential and everything it takes for her to become very successful, but it seems he won't invest & would rather play with SNSD. I'm getting tired of his blatant disregard for her. Especially being a Chocolate from the start, he's disappointed many of us by his use of tactics on Li Yin.
But I'll continue to support her no matter what, til the end ^^

What I would give to know what the hell is going on in LSM's head. & honestly I've given up on that "he has something up his sleeve" bit, I've been fooled one too many times. His empty promises will forever remain so, until he starts proving true to his words. I'm very skeptical when it comes to LSM. he's been treating Chocolates unfairly from the start when it comes to Li Yin.
But of course, Chocolates will never give up on Li Yin. Cuz if we do, she's the one that suffers & we don't want that.

Zhang Li Yin has one of the best voices I've ever heard (being a singer myself). I've asked my friends in China to please buy her CD's and listen to her but they'd never even heard about her. Gosh, LSM really needs to concentrate on some of the real talents. I miss this girl and CJSH.

you don't have to agree with his method or tactics on HOW he promotes Li Yin but what matters is the end results. Just sit back and watch because for me I'd seen what SM can do for their artists and I truly believe that SM knows what they are doing. For the reason why she's stiff. . i dont blame her . It seems to be that the floors quite slippery , not suitable for high heels to dance on. If u watch a current clip of the front angle, it's noticable that floor is slippery. Dont say she cant dance or that she's not sexy enough, she aint trying to pull a britney. (NO OFFENCE to britney loyal fans). Zhang li yin, has a dancing background as she was trained for four years in SM not on singing but dancing as well.

Actually, I think she only started serious training in dance recently (from 2006/2007 onwards). In an interview she said that she never received all that much training in dance, but was more focused on her voice/singing and whatnot. In fact, for her first OMT performance, she didn't have time to learn the choreography because she was so busy recording and preparing her album.

I dont know but...she isn't that great. I think its just because I read everyone's comments and it sounded like she did a over the top job but... I found it really stiff and awkward looking at points. She can execute the moves but, to me, she's only executing them, nothing else really. Nothing that couldn't come from a lot of practice. Anyway, this is one dance, I hope she can surprise me with something better then this.

It's the fact that it's ZLY that's making everyone say she did a fantastic job.
Because all her fans (and even those who are not) can recognize how hard she's worked and how far she's come.
Considering that she's primarily a ballad singer who used to look awkward just standing on stage, I'd say she's come a really far way.
For those that follow her, this IS an amazing performance.
