  • 飞翔的荷兰人。。。The Flying Dutchman

  • AS Korean. I really respect Chinse holy poet. Tang peiorid, Li Bai(Korean reading : 이백), Tu bao(두보). and Xong period Xiao Dong Pa. Chinese charator have Very unique and nice poetery rythm.

  • Last sentence should be 与尔同销万古愁 instead of 与儿同销万古愁.

  • You pronouciation is excellent!

  • One thing you may want to know, reading ancient poem in Cantonese is better than in Mandarin. Cantonese rhyme better than Mandarin.

  • Oh you are better than Kevin Rudd!

  • 什么乱七八糟的

    这个是祝酒词

    非常飞扬澎湃的

    这么悲壮干什么

  • 你要知道,我有时候朗诵这首诗的时候,是会哭的。所以你要知道,李白很了不起

  • 你读得好搞笑啊~~~~~笑趴了!!

    节奏要多注意。不过总体来说,念你是个外国人,勇气可嘉哈~

  • 河南人吧?!

  • horseshit

  • Good stuff bro. You got some good flow. I've been listening to the rhythmic cadence of Gil Scott-Heron. This is the Chinese equivalent of that cadence.

  • Oh you're positively too much.

I didn't tell you to stop though :p

  • 瞎了~~~~

    I thought you are a chinese~~~~~~~

    没想到你是个老外~~~~~~

  • there is a mistake, actually is 呼儿将出换美酒,与尔同销万古愁 not 呼(尔)将出换美酒,与(儿)同销万古愁

  • translations please :)

  • Dont you see the Yellow Rivers waters move out of heaven and stream into the ocean, but never to return?

Dont you see one may be sadden by seeing ones greying hairs reflected in bright mirrors in the high chamber,

Which, though dark at morning, have changed by night to be as white as snow?

Let us enjoy our lives to the fullest while we can,

And never tip the golden cup empty toward the moon.

God created every person with a purpose,

  • That sounds about right, except for the God part, as Chinese are of course "atheist philosophers" :)

  • Thanks so much for translation :). Such wisdom in the poem. Do you have or know of any more Chinese poetry.

    Thanks again :)

  • @qbelle good job, translation is good.

how ever (the following comment is not on your translation, but the translation between chinese and english), it loses the art of wording, I mean the chosen of every single character.

  • very impressive. Good reading! It's wonderful that you appreciate Chinese poetry that much!

    Keep up your Chinese!

  • Hello from Canada, what is the name of the music you play in the background. I have been looking for it for a long time. Francis

  • its called "Shi Mian Mai Fu". It literally translates into "Ambushed on all sides".

  • 好! 好! 好!....

  • lovely :)

  • 你们说什么8-}

    我今年才开始学汉语。
