don't be afraid to play with the distortion. i find that the more you play about the more you get to know the amp!

another thing it sounds alot better than it does on this video!! for instance he plays the hi gain models and they just sound like there only slightly breaking up! when there actually very good at high gain, u can get metallica, linkin park, sabbath, tones really well!

ive had one for 2 years and had loads of trouble getting a good tone! with a les paul as well! but as soon as i raised the amp about 2ft off the ground and tilted it back it sounds brilliant!

this amp has a wattage dial at the back. you can leave the master at full and turn that down and it becomes a say 10-15 watt amp. this would be perfect id say

it HASNT got a 12ax7 in the preamp, its got a 12ax7 in the hybrid power section. before you dem something learn to play a bit first.

Check out the now Valvtronix VT30 with 22 amp models. They upgraded to older VT30 with 11 amp models. The newer VT30 sells for $250. It sounds much better than the older VT30.

You can use FX pedals with any amp.

u can't use all fx pedals.

You can't use any effects altering the tightness and unity of the signal like:

-reverb,delay, loopstation, etc

you CAN use modulation effects:

-wah, phazer, flanger, talkbox, others

And of course gain modyfing effects work with no problem:

-distortion, overdrive

Yes, but you must stick to this scheme:

external OD/DS > delay/reverb/loopstation > preamp on clean-bypass>poweramp

And should strictly avoid:

delay/loopstation > preamp with OD>poweramp

----

You should not overdrive delayed signal - because it sounds like shit.

Loopstation doesn't give u all functions this way either - setting different tones on various layers.

@Zeppelinrocker7 , the great think is if you need more power you can output this in a big amp, and use the effects, It´s like a big pedal of effects. (sorry for my english). My brother use my amp( ad30vt) with the bass, he conect the amp to his bassamp and it´s sounds great. :D

The power amp is solid state. A 12AX7 is a preamp tube. Power amp tubes are 6L6, EL34, etc...

to sheasmith160: i've got an sg... it's an epiphone, but it still has a nice tone to it, and it works great with my ad30vt. sounds really think and creamy on boutique clean and ac30tb, and screams on uk modern. so yeah it's definitely a good match.

this is such a sweeeet amp. i've got the ad100vt and i LOVE it. great great great work. i love the uk modern for some higher gain, and i really like the tweed for blues also! nice wind cries mary too! i love to rock that one every now and then!
