idk honestly palpitine was more powerful then obi wan. obi wan had more fighting abilities but not use of the force. yoda could easily defeat anakin but yoda knew how powerful palpatine really was. i mean come on palpatine took out three jedi in less then 4 seconds and they were all masters. he could have beat windu that fast but he knew anakin would come and he could manipulate him. so in other words he used windu. but ya thats all in the books as well.

One thing that I don't understand is when their both force pushing each other at the same time you would think that Anikain would push Obi-wan into the computer. Anakain is stronger in the force so they shouldn't be evenly matched.

I actually thought the same thing then i gave it some thought. Anikan, as the jedi say, has a lot to learn. He is stronger in the force than Obi-Wan but he hasn't gotten to his max force potential. If it wasn't for that accident he would've kept getting stronger, and stronger untill none could stop him. He already is gaining more power as you see Obi-Wan struggle to overcome him, but in the end they both forced each other back. I hope this answers your question.

Anakin hadn't reached his full potential yet, but was still fighting equally strong as Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan just fought smarter and won. Obi-Wan also fights a defensive style which is why he is often backing up.

After nearly melting to death and being reconstructed, Anakin's body was destroyed and his force potential was limited to two thirds of what it originally was, which is why he never exceeds Palpatine in power even as Darth Vader.
