As concerns LM cars, the Radical SR8 LM is a street legal car and it's 6:48 lap time (on street legal tyres) still stands as a record among street legal cars.

The car runs on full slicks which qualify it as a non street legal car, even if it is officially a street legal car (on ultra highs or semis maybe). As a non street legal car neither this nor the 599XX possess any record... Bellof does with The Porsche. End of the story.

@12bc63a2222 legal where? in uk you can make street legal 2000hp dragsters...it will be road legal in the sense of the "radical" brand of cars, albeit a million times more usable then them. still not really "roadable" in any meaningful sense of the word, though
@12bc63a2222: the only reason why 599xx is not road legal is just because ferrari didn't want to be so. 599xx could be homologated tomorrow, as is, putting a cat in countries which mandate it. had they wanted, they could have made not road legal the 458 or the scaglietti for that matter. this would have not made the 458 or scaglietti race cars, as your arguments seem to imply.
