  • @ChackaLockTahPuss HD3870. Just get a 5850.

  • My rig is about the same a his, just 30% faster with clock speed and memory, and thats pretty damn fast for an old card like that, I was just looking to buy the 3870.

  • @WarpPal well, the 3870 was the best single gpu ati card around the crysis release, so it had to be able to play it at least medium.

  • I HAVE TOO PROBLEM I NEVER ENABLE BLOODY CROSSFIREX ATI SUCKS TRUST ME I NO FUCKING WAY I HAVE THIS GRAPHICCARD SINS 2007 NOW 2011 I HAVE STILL PROBLEM NO NEW UPDATES ABOUT CROSFIREX FOR WINDOWS 7 AND XP ATI SUCKS CRAP DONT BUY TRUST ME PLZ

  • @DOMINATORKING1 Uhm dude, chill the fuck down? ATI is not a shit and you said "I NEVER ENABLE BLOODY CROSSFIREX" it means you haven't enable yet. Is that correct? Trust me,If you buy NVIDIA and run on SLi,is going to have huge amount of problem. Im a proud owner use to have a Dual 6800XT running on SLI and suddenly 1 of them burns out. None of them were overclock or overheated, and I just start using it for only 2 weeks. You will regret getting NVIDIA.

  • Atleast the 4300/4500 series 4 gB ram can run this in medium and low flawlessly.

  • I upgraded to this card from onboard Intel graphics. Windows experience index went from 3.3 to 6.9!

  • it is AGP?

  • can i play this game on max?

    CPU: quad core 3.1ghz

    video card: HD 5450 1gb

    RAM: 4gb

    resolution: 1024 1280

  • @oraakkeli12 yup

  • @oraakkeli12 you can run it for sure. don't go overboard ith maxing out everything though you might get lag but mid-high is good for you

  • far cry 1 and crysis 1 the best

  • i got a ASUS radeon hd 6970 2gb and couldnt be happier ;D

  • @misterhoobomaster and i had sex =]

  • anyone that wants to get close to maxing it out should go with something like the GTX 460. it should be around $150 currently, but it will give the most bang for buck at a budget of around $150...the Radeon 5770 is also a good alternative for a lower price, around $120 or less. as for some one who just wants to play at least medium for cheap, u should look for Radeon 4650 around $50-60. Good luck pc gamers :)

  • @thepker147 i would suggest installing windows 7 64 bit, cause you have a 64 bit processor

  • @PsilocybinDream no it doesnt make any difference.. everything takes more memory to run in 64bit. and for me, 7 64bit is buggy

  • @thepker147 my other computer has a geforce 95001gb, q8200 quadcore, 4 gigs of ram and it cant play on very high with full settings without lagging a little in fight scenes, and considering the 4650 is agp makes it even worse

  • @thepker147 no, unfortunately. ide play medium

  • nice man! can i run this game on high setting WITHOUT no lagg and smoothly with these:windows 7 32-bit , 3000+ , 1 GB ram 2.00 GHz AMD athlon (tm) 64 processor and AH4650 ASUS AGPX8. plz help.

  • why i have sell my 3850 for 30$ :(

  • that is running really good, nice video!

  • who the fuck goes around punching hammers

  • this game combine for Fantasy And Normal War game, so it's really fun & awesome,

  • if you have a bit of lag turn vsync off

  • should i get ATi 4670 or 3850, on Tigerdirect, 3850 is more expensive, which one should i get?

  • @charliephayer123

You should get the 5670 ;) amazing value for money, just a tad more money than the 4670 but outperforms them both.

  • gud video

  • ati hd 3850 or ati 4500 hd?

  • Nicest graphics, but one of the most boring games in today's standards.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and up coming Ghost Recon: Future Soldier are much better.

  • @dinnerandashow

Ugh im sick of first person shooters, thanks god for the saviour that was Final Fantasy XIII.

  • I have a Nvidia 9800gt and I think this is better

  • @azrock666 na the 9800gt is great maybe your cpu

  • 3850 is something like 4670. So yeah 3850 is a lot faster than 4570.

  • yes atlon 64 x2 2.93 ghz good sistem

  • @PictoDD yes

  • i have ATI Radeon HD 5800 card and 1920 x 1080 resoliution HD monitor so it's awesome for me to play crysis

  • @861282553

Hi, I also have a HD 5800 series card, but in the shadows I get white pixels, and sometimes under water I get artifacts. Do you know what could be wrong? Are you also getting this?

  • i have the radeon HD 4650, im better...*then realizes the video as in Dcember 2007....

  • @uexp4 hg 4650 is crap xD

  • @uexp4 i have the geforce GTX 580, im better...*then realizes the video as in Dcember 2007...

  • @uexp4 late in my comment but the 4650 is a worse card than the 3850. Its newer but weaker ;)

  • i like it more on high with medium shaders the colours are way better and not all washed out

  • i cant run this at all XD

  • Nice!!!

  • my pc can only run this on medium

  • Computer hardware is cheap nowadays...

  • recession

  • @XRaCeProX hmmm you should go buy a radeon 5970... still cheap? XD lol

  • @XRaCeProX Bullshit...

  • @XRaCeProX now it's more expencive while it's older.

  • @XRaCeProX would i run high too?

Intel Core 2 Duo 2,4 GHz

    HD4670 1GB GDDR3

    2GB RAM?

  • @marfg12345 yes it would because that videocard is about the same as 3850

  • @Halobolu well you cant play when on low, rocks go invisible and the ppl are like two blocks :)

  • DX 9 or 10???

  • High = DX9 and Very high = DX10. In this case high, so DX9.

  • You can launch the game In dx10 which means you can play on medium dx10?

  • @XRaCeProX i have dx 11 since i have windows.. since this is agp. is it any good? i have a i3 processor(dual)

  • is crysis a good game?

im thinking cause when i get my gaming laptop is it worth the buy?

  • I can run this and the expansion warhead both on high 1680x1050. I get about 30-40 fps

    AMD 64x2 5200+ stock 2.6GHZ

    3GB DDR2 (667MHZ) RAM

    8800GTS (640) OC'd

  • can this run crysis

    intel celeron 1.5gh

    512mb of memory

    50gb HD

    intel extreme chipset

  • i really dont think so maybe yeah but in all low and really laggy i dont even think ull be able to run it cuz it needs at leat 2.4 to run

  • i was joking

  • -_-haha lol got me +

  • no

you can try the demo but i think you need better hardware

  • i was jking, it cant even run half life 1 on high setting at 800x600

  • ofc, max details @ 1680x1050 aax 50 :)

  • is this good for games 1024 MB ATI Radeon HD3850

  • yeah

  • buy the HD 3870 512 MB.

  • caan i run this

    Intel® Core 2 Quad Q9550

    (2.80GHz, 1333MHz FSB, 12MB Cache)

    Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium

    4GB DDR2 memory

    2x 640GB SATA hard drives

    512MB NVIDIA® GeForce 9600GT graphics

  • ull run it great, but people should really just go check crysis requirements

  • no u cant

  • yes, but your graphic card is not the best ;-)

  • would dis video card run well on my system or be bottlenecked with the cpu:?

    AMD X2 5200+ 2.8Ghz

    2GB DDR2 800mhz

    320 GB

    400 Watt PSU

im thinking of getting the HD3850 or HD3870 512mb DDR4

  • Your Power Supply needs an upgrade.

    *Laughs at DDR2*

Anyways, fine system, it should go fine....

The CPU shouldnt be a big problem since i see its a Dual-Core

  • i run this game with ddr2 :[

  • you should get the 4770 or the 4870 instead, might need a little better PSU then.

but no way your gonna get a bottleneck

  • @jamesdk09 well, i suggest 4800 series, or just hd 5770, its a great card, i know it's a bit more expensive then 3850 but alot better

  • i am just even running amd athlon x2 5200 and my ram is 4gb and still i could play crisis at high settings. but i can't pick the option of very high. maybe on my next video card upgrade, 4850 ddr5 or 4870

  • Very high is DX10, it only works in Vista.

  • is the difference really noticeable comparing high and very high? or just slight?

  • dude to which Nvidea card you will compared it to?

  • 8800GS I guess.

  • @XRaCeProX is nVidia GT 240 1gb gddr3 better than 3850?

    i have gt, so?

  • @FlameTheFame i have the gt 240 with 512mb and can only run on medium

    i have 3gb ram

    64 bit processor

    dual core @ 2.2 ghz

  • @Erosbach yeah,

    i have hd5670 1gb gddr5

    4gb ddr2 ram

and overclocked core 2 duo e4500 2,20GHZ( oc to 3,4GHz with a good cooler

    w7 ultimate

i get 25-35 fps on maxed out full resolution

  • this is true! i also have the same video card, and crysis runs terrific as what this guy has posted here.

  • does it run well on a :

    Intel Q8200

    2,33 GHz

    4096 MB

    640 GB

    ATI Radeon HD3850 1024 MB

  • i have hd 4850 x2 :))

  • whats better for gaming? sapphire or powercolor the video card is this one HD 3850 AGPx8

  • Is it the vid or is this guy getting some major artifacts..

  • It's the vid, youtube did something to the vid.

  • @ hjnsf

Im not overclocking, thats what my system runs at I need more cooling before i can think of overclocking

  • dude this 3850 is same as 3870 and this two card are monster they can do even beter than some 8800gts and 8800gt for real just you sould overclock it litle bit only litle to get atleas 52GB per second to see how is ti

  • i have ATi HD 3850 i can play to all game whit higt setting?

  • @snioCRI

I have the saphire 3850 and I aam maxing out crysis so yes, you can run it, pending your cpu and ram of course ;)

Im running it on these specs

    saphire ati raedon 3850 512ddr3

    2gb ddr2 ram

    intel core 2 @ 3.00ghz (i.e 6 between the two cores)

I have it maxed out at 1080p so good luck to you ;)

  • overclock = LESS LOADING LOL

  • I can play this lowest settigns at 800x600 and get 40fps isnt that awesome? *rolls eyes*

  • preciso saber qual é melhor ati radeon 3870 ou nvidia geforce 9600gt ??responde ae plx

  • The 3870 is slightly better.

  • cara a 9600 gt é melhor,porem uma 3850 é um ótimo custo/beneficio e alias vou comprar uma pra mim...fuiz

  • is the 3850 better or the 4670 ?

  • The 3850 is better.

  • can you give me some reasons....i mean i looked at the spec and one has some numbers that are higher, and the other has other numbers that are higher.... im into computers alot, but i am trying to learn more about GPU as i am trying to get into PC gaming and am building a rig also (first gaming rig i built)

  • Google for "4670 review", then look at the review by guru3d(dot)com. You'll see that the 4670 performs very bad because it's not in the higher gpu class, it's in the mid class but from the latest generation. This doesn't mean it's better than previous generation HD3xxx cards. Google for it, I can't explain all of this in detail.

  • thanks buddy i appreciate your help

  • no prob

  • Please tell me if my computer will work on medium to high settings:

Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium 64-bit with Service pack1

    Intel® Core 2 Quad™ Q9400 Processor - 2.66GHz

    Memory

    4GB PC2-6400 DDR2 SDRAM memory (2x2048MB)

    Hard Drive

    750GB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s hard drive

    Video Graphics

    Nvidia 9800GT 512MB. Overclocked

  • u fucking kiddin' with us?=)) OF COURSE OMG ON ULTRA HIGH!!!

  • He's bragging about his computer hardware, otherwise it's a very stupid question.

  • If you're able to afford hardware like this, then why don't you test it out for yourself at different resolutions???

  • no way.

with a nvidia graphics card you can't play this game, you must buy ATI!!

    :P

  • I got the game and i can play it on the highest settings but with a 1280x720 resolution

  • Could you help me out here, Ok I only get 20-30FPS in crysis at 1440x900 with an AMD Athlon 64 x2 6000+ @3.49GHz

    4 gigs DDr2 800 RAM

HIS Radeon HD 4870(running in regular Pcie x16 not 2.0)

M2R32-MVP Mobo (AMD 580x Crossfirex Chipset)

And with your mid system and a 3850 you can play on very high (except shaders) with 26-80FPS, it makes no sense.

  • Try newest drivers. And are you playing on Windows XP. Because I have another system here with Phenom X4 9550 and Sapphire Radeon HD4850 which can play Crysis all highest at constant above 30 fps. It's on Win Vista x64.

  • Shoot bursts. What are you new to shooters?

  • MAXIMUM GRAFICS

  • Minimum spelling :)

  • LMao lol that was funny

  • I got the same grapiccard and the same CPU, but with this settings I wont even get close to 50 fps.

    How is that possible?

Could it be because I only tried the demo of the game?

  • High fps when there's not much on the screen.

  • The demo isn't optimized, and therefore runs pretty skippy. I know skippy, I beat this game on an ATI X200 mobo card....

  • I can't remember recording it from the demo. But it's possible though.

  • have you ever tried playing crysis on low? if you do please tell to me how many fps it has when on low.

  • Will this be able to play Crysis smoothly with everything maxed out at 1280x1024? If so is there any better deals out there?

  • HD4850 is the cheapest prife/performance deal at the moment. If the HD4830 is a lot cheaper, then it's a good deal aswell.

  • I know that lmao, but you didn't answer the questing really forward.

  • lol ok. I just want to tell you that the price difference between the HD3850 and the HD4850 isn't that big anymore.

  • hi i please explain this to me

Can i play crysis on ATI Radeon HD 4870 and nVidiaGeForce 9600GT ? and are they better than the one you have?

    please reply

  • Yes they're both better. The HD4870 is the bestone.

  • thnks dude

  • I play crysis on very high with 3 9800gtx's 512mb

    3.0ghz core duo 2

    and 4 gb RAM

  • and with the shaders set on high how much FPS do u get ?

  • ive got a 8800GTS 512 and i play crysis on very high with 40 fps

  • yeah, @ 800x600..u putz.

  • i just got the game so i tried it on my 3850 256mb. guess what, this thing runs at 1920x1200 no AA everything on high except shaders, shadows, and physics. get average of 30FPS and it's very playable. i'm going to see how it'll perform when my sapphire HD 4870 512mb comes here.

  • high shaders REALY slows crysis down, but not nearly as bad in warhead(much better game BTW)

  • haven't tried warhead. i gotta tell you though, first time i played crysis, i was like "this sucks" but now it's actually pretty awesome.

  • warhead is what im uploading now, nice boss battle at enthusiast settings(AKA ultra high)!

  • dayam!! i wanna see!

  • look on my channel, its in hd :P. BUT youtube screwed it up a little, im uploading the video to fileshack so you can see how smooth it really was.

  • I wanna know is the HD4830 is better than the 8800GT. And if the HD4850 is worth paying €20 more and the HD4870 worth paying €60 more.

  • the 4830 is slightly faster then the 8800/9800 gt at stock speeds, but it can be overclocked a ton. the 4850 isn't worth it unless you have a big 22inch monitor, the 4870 isn't worth it unless you have a 24inch.

  • I just wanna play GTA IV smoothly, My processor is OK as I just got the Phenom X4. With low graphical settings I get more than 30 fps. But the videocard, it's a 7900GTO, I want to upgrade it so I can play newer games like GTA IV. You think the HD4830 is good enough? The 4850 is only 20€ more, if it's worth it I don't mind.

  • it really depends on what you want, both cards are an equal value, however, gta4 sucks on the pc, so a 4850 might be needed.

  • ah ok, just ordered 4850.

  • good choice, which one, the sapphire?MSI?

  • Sapphire, the one with dual slot cooler.

  • same one i got, but mines a 4830

  • Ah, you mean the dual slot cooler? Is it a silent cooler?

  • go to newegg, and type in sapphire 4830

  • Comment removed

  • If I had a Dual Core processor, I could do a lot of thing with this card. I have a Pentium 4 with this card and on high, I get 17 to 35 fps. In huge battles, I have 3 to 17 fps. On all low, I have 40 to 80 fps.

  • >_> The agp 3850 is wayyy overpriced. May aswell buy a new motherboard and video card.. for example.. I bought a HIS 3850 from amazon for 80, got a Asus p5q pro for 110 off of newegg.. 190.. cheaper than getting that 3850.

  • Dunno why it's THAt overpiced, same with the older socket 939. I saw a AMD X2 4400+ socket939 for over 150$. You can get way better mobo+processor for that price.

  • SET To 1024x768 and shaders on high :D

  • on 1024x768 no aa/af. using a custom cfg that's supposed to make medium look like high

  • how come i cant run all settings on high even on 1024x768?

    i have:

    athlon x2 5000+ @ 2.7ghz

    4gb g.skill ddr2-800

    hd3850 256mb gddr3

    asrock alive NF6G-VSTA

  • Upgrade your video card to either a HIS 3870 or a HIS 3850. Both have 512 mb of ram.. The 3850 just has a tad bit slower core clock and ram clock.

  • i do have the 3850 as posted below, do i need the 512mb version? 4830s here in the philippines are way too expensive

  • More ram helps a TON with resolution. But before you go out and spend big bucks on a new video card, what kind of fps are you getting?

  • 30 on average, dips below 20fps in heavy firefights

  • what resolution?

  • Oh yeah, what settings?

  • or get an 8800GS, or a 4830 for ~ the same price, except, 4830 kicks serious ass.

  • 4830 is $110, 8800gs(aka 9600gso) is, for one, officialy canceled as of now, and is-was priced at $80, not the same price.

  • this "~" means "roughly" the same price. 4830 can be had for 100 and at the time of the post, the old 8800GS's and 9600GSO's were around 100 as well. the new 9600GSO's are crippled version of the old ones. that is why they are cheaper...

  • the old 9600gso's are gone, the new gso's have 48 shaders instead of 96, so the're pretty much useless now.

  • yeah that's what i meant...

  • i just got my 4830 in today, i will post some crysis videos if you want to see them :)

  • Yes and also GTA 4 vids, if you have that game.

  • sweet dude, let's see some vids :)

  • encoding as i speak!

  • sweet

  • The comp im getting in a few days is going to have ati 3850x2 and 2 GB of Ram with the nicest duel core processor on the market.

  • the e8400?
