and just a hint. if you already have a game started, with updates downloads and all like I have.... once you remove a memory cache the game you saved will not be able to load when missing downloaded content. You will have to create a new game a new commander and you'll be signed out of Xbox Live! for now

just clear the cache by pressing Y when in your hard drive , do what you got ta do.... then download an update again the game automatically inquirers of you. All previous downloads will be restored. it's easy and so Awesome! wish I knew about it before... now I've don it multiple times, importing and creating just the right commander

Respond to this video... The PS3 version of the game was released with all the DLC and updates up to its release, already implemented into it; including this patch, so no, the glitch won't work for the PS3.

Sorry, wrong glitch, I'm pretty stupid. You can max out shepard on the ps3 by having Dominate as a bonus power. Select dominate as a bonus power through advance training, then retrain. You get one free squad point, and you can multiple times, as long as your element zero reserves hold out.

alright people. I just found a LEGIT WAY around this patch. fist, unplug your internet and sign out. next, clear system cache. next, log into your profile (OFFLINE!!!) and do the trick in the vid. next, save your game. next, plugin your internet and sign onto xbox LIVE WITHOUT signing out or going back to the dashboard. which means just press the guide button and press connect to xbox LIVE. once connected, go ahead and download the update and then load your LATEST SAVE. and BOOM! your all set!!!

I wish Bioware just added enough levels to max everything out legitimately. I would have played a new game+ with my classes had I been given the option to max everything out. Would of been interesting completing the early missions on Insanity at level 30+, would of been quite challenging!

I beat it on my very first character that i ported from mass effect 1 he was level 3 I did every mission on insanity from the very start to lair of the shadow broker to the suicide mission..

Its not hard.

@hunt3rxwl I don't think insanity is easy for new comers but for veterans like you and myself I suppose it is. I've only played ME2 on Insanity and beaten it 3 times. Since the enemies level up as you do, this means earlier missions are harder if you are a higher level. So what I meant is that I would of liked taking on those missions at level 30+ because they would of been so much harder than they actually were, and more fun. The only 'hard' class I played was an Adept, but it was still fun.

@sososean Yeah thats the truth the only really really easy way to play insanity is a soldier (for those of you looking for your achievements that is) If your looking for a challenge Adepts are on of the "harder" ones :/

best way to do this is if you have the update patch. play as normal as planet scans will be incredably slow. but DON`T use squad points, when you have got all characters, upgrades and done all loyalty missions except leigons. save the game go into your hard drive and then memory, press clear cache and play without updating go to illium, omega, tuchanka and the citidel each time using diff squad members use squad points press x+a on skill evolution for max points. then do leigons loyalty mission.

Guys it still works. I cant believe so many stupid people don't know what a cache. The cache is where game updates and other temporary data is stored. It does not affect any of your hard drive's data. Some games will not work after updates though. This one does, I'm already maxed out with just the 10 points I had!

Step 1: Delete your hard drive's cache(this is not your game saves, DLCs etc.). Go to your Hard Drive and select options(Y) to delete cache.

Step 2: Play the game offline and acquire 10 Squad Points.

Step 3: After you have 10 Squad Points go to your powers in Squad option.

Step 4: Use up your points to fill up to the 3rd box for whatever power you're doing. When buying the 4th and last box press X+A at the same time. If done correctly you should still have 10 Squad Points...

The way I did it was with a lot of Element Zero and the Advance Training option. You can buy up an extra power and max it out using the glitch. Once you max it buy another power. The points you used for that power will be returned to you. I did that a couple of times and ended up with 70 something squad points.

I also recommend saving before you do the glitch, just incase you mess up.

Damnit, can't do it. Dl'd some dlc when my 360 was getting fixed, now I can't do it on my characters. Can't transfer my license again until August, so I'm pretty much screwed. Did it on a character before the patch though, and it worked fine.

I'm starting a new character with my cache cleared. Once I fully up the characters I want, I'll re-dl the update so I can use the early DLC.
