  • Nevermind, I just restarted my kindle and computer. And, it worked just fine.

  • My command prompt stalls at "Gaining root..." and doesn't do anything. Any ideas?

  • @killzone489 nope, any phones micro USB would work if uve got one

  • What USB do you use To hook up The Kindle Fire on The Computure ????

  • @killzone489 micro usb cable, it doesnt come with one.

  • Yeah I need one bad. is there any way where I can root it on the kindle it self@nat3m

  • Thanks nat3mil for an excellent video.

Regarding "I cant find my kindle or "other devices" in device manager, what can I do?" I tried it the first time on a 32-bit version of Windows 7 and it didn't work. The 2nd time was on a 64-bit version and it worked like a charm. That might be the difference for some other users as well.

  • @maria17atl extract what? Get the free software 7zip, that will unzip anything

  • the only problem i have is that i cant extract it idk why

  • @thesandcrack1 u can use the same kindleadb folder and same driver, it's all the same just with the added steps.

  • i have a question..... i have a previously rooted kindle (6.2.2) rooted with the original BR and i want to root this new one with BR3. if i delete the kindle folder in c and install all associated files with BR3 will it have any effect on the 1st kindle? can i install all the BR3 files in the same folder as other files? i just ask because it looks like as tho the SU files differ. thanks for your time.

  • @nat3mil which one would it be under, no other devices or something else. Ive tried to reboot, unplug, and look at all the files under device management. Also followed all steps you did in order 2 times. The same thing happened on my other computer, no Android abd interphase

  • @Kristinazane that's because u didn't put the apk in the kindleadb folder

  • had to do adb install C:\Users\Kristina\Desktop\BurritoRoot3.apk

  • adb install BurritoRoot3.apk This does not work. It says can't find 'BurritoRoot3.apk' to install when I have it downloaded to my desktop.

  • @ptjlbk install driver manually. Details are in the video description

  • ok so im trying to root but for some reason after goin to cmd cd c:\kindleadb

then type adb devices it does not show my device connected how do i fix some one help

  • also when trying to install drives from the kindle fire utiliy folder it will not install google drivers is days instal failed(unsigned)

  • @RexofPeace read vid description

  • i got to the computer management part and android adb interface doesnt show up. what should i do?

  • it was difficult as fuck to do since kindle's usb cords are TERRIBLE AT STAYING CONNECTED,but it worked.I owe you my thanks

  • he forgot to fucking mention that you fucking need superone click 2.fucking 2 to startup the fucking adb server lol

  • @nat3mil thanks for second link for adb have it now ;-)

  • WOW tyvm man this was very easy to folo and i got mine on the first try great tut man

  • thanx so much really easy to follow and works great

  • @awful8484 that's the last command u need to run. Try again, if it doesn't work reboot and try again. U can also try reinstalling the driver if the commands arnt working

  • Hey, I was able to follow completely up until the last part where yours actually worked. my screen is still stuck on "please run /data/local/tmp BurritoRoot3.bin --root through adb to start the process?" What am I doing wrong here?

  • Comment removed

  • Is it possible to do this without a USB, and just use something like MobileGo?

  • @maxdudde Oh nvm, won't.

  • i cannot download kindleadb from anywhere??? uk

  • @ce38manual I just added another link to the video description for kindleadb from my dropbox

  • @KaitainCPS yeah so just uninstall that incorrect driver ur computer installed, and install the correct one.

  • The "other devices" category in device manager appeared one time only and spontaneously disappeared after a few seconds. It has never appeared since. Have tried replugging and scanning for new hardware, but nothing works. So this whole thing is, unfortunately, a bust.

  • @KaitainCPS

Hmmm, actually it appeared later on under a different category, "Mobile devices".

  • @budtastic101 the link in the video description works fine. U must click free download once on the site

  • @shinkouhadoken they are all in the video description

  • i cant find the kindleADB either link not working and cant seem to find it anywhere else anybody got any ideas?

  • @budtastic101 .. did you get it? i cant find it anywhere?

  • @nat3mil does anyone know where I can find those three programs that are in this video?

  • canyou help soorry a out that:(

  • hey have another device emulator

  • can some show me how to do this for mac? please

  • what is kindle fire utility

  • @sexybak4 its a program used to modify kindle. The link to it and all the info about it is in the video description

  • Is it normal for it to ask to boot recovery and then for it to boot normally on its own after rooting?

In every aspect it works after booting but it is kind of scary.

  • Perfect, working without any problem! Tks

  • @100Milllion there are tips from myself and others in the video description. It might be ur computer I'd try on another if u have one available

  • Hey I cant get my computer in the CMD to see my device.. I have tried manually installing it and even auto through device manager. IT WONT WORK . When I go to CMD it says * daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037* *daemon started successfully* list of devices attached.then nothing i tryed adb devices a few times but it says List of devicdes attached but none listed.when i try to paste the adb commands it says error : device not found. I know it is not seeing it yet

    Got any ideas???

  • @100Milllion I have the same problem. :(

  • thx....at first i didn't think you know what u was doing but you did..thumbs up

  • @camrock77339 there is a link to the forum post in the video description. From there just scroll down to current release.

  • where is the kindle fire utility?

  • @lilmissbig77 u could probably use super one click, I show u how to use it in one of my old how to root kindle fire videos, it says (outdated) in the title, but unrooting should still work

  • @nat3mil Hey thanx for responding. Well I wasn't really gonna unroot it that quickly :), I just wanted to know before hand if there was a way out of this- if it can be unrooted. I wanted to be assured that incase if sometime I would actually unroot it. I am assuming that the video you are talking about is "How to Root & Unroot - Kindle Fire (outdated)"?

  • @lilmissbig77 yes that the video i was talking about. there is also a very easy way to resturn ur kindle completely to stock.

  • @nat3mil (CONTINUED) - Now that I still have it rooted, let's say that if I were to then add one of the firmwares (ice cream sandwich), then added android market. Then I suddenly decided that I don't like it (the firmware & android market). That I want it back to the gingerbread firmware. I guess I would have to unroot it, right or would it be a different process?

  • @lilmissbig77 well if your talking about installing a custom rom (those will all come with android market), then you can change those whenever you want. If you want to get an idea on how you would change them, you can watch my videos on that, i have one for cm7 and one for miui. if you are on one of those, you can always just flash back to the stock kindle software too if you dont like the custom rom. yes it would be a different process from just unrooting. send me a pm if you have more qs

  • followed directions exactly and kindle is still not rooted...

  • Thanx nat. Worked smoothly without any problems/errors. I have the Kindle Fire 6.2.2 and used burritoroot 3 from the above video. Now I think I want to unroot it- to restore it back the way it was before rooting it. I do not want to temporarily unroot it. How do I do that? Please respond asap. Thanks.

  • I LOVE YOU... no homo...

  • Thank you so much for posting this video. It worked for me and now I have great access to my Kindle Fire!! This has made an already good product even better!

  • hey nat3mill great job on all your vids on the kindle fire. your guides are easy to follow and all work great. thanks for all the help.

  • @7FaithInTheLord7 that is the last command ur suppose to put. If it's not working, try from beginning or try reinstalling driver

  • @nat3mil Will do. Thanks!

  • @nat3mil I am having problems at the computer manager part. My other devices and kindle doesn't show up so I can't install the drivers. The first time I did this it was there so now when I am retracing my steps it doesn't show up anymore.

  • @7FaithInTheLord7 it must show up somewhere. right click any device and select "scan for hardware changes" then look for it

  • @nat3mil Wooot! Your video worked! Thanks a lot man! I didn't copy --install and that was the problem haha. Thanks again! God Bless! :)

  • Thanks! This was very easy to follow and helped a lot. :D

  • Can you also show a video to unroot kindle fire 6.2.2.?

  • @mzdivababy97 go to my other rooting video to install the driver manually

  • When i double clicked install_drivers and clicked run, I Tried doing the Kindle Fire Driver Installer! There is an error saying With Google Inc WIth A Red X At The BOttom It WOnt REcognize my kindle

  • Thank you so much! No frustrations at all!

  • thanks for everything big help!!!!!

  • thank you so much....

  • @petshopboys77 if u don't want to install a custom recovery and custom rom, then don't flash it

  • may I know what is that last bootloader supposed to function? Should i flash it?

  • i ran into a little trouble while reinstalling the driver in at 2:59 in the video it would not let me press ok when i selected drivers

  • can you post the link of that?

  • @bmm134134 theres a link in the video description, part of the faqs about adb devices

  • it wont let me install drivers what do you think that is a cause of?

  • @bmm134134 you can go to my other rooting video and use that to install the driver manually

  • @nat3mil Hi. Nice video man. I did everything you did in the video. In the end is where I had a problem. I opened my BurritoRoot3 App on my Kindle Fire but it doesn't say flash or don't flash. Instead it say's Please run /data/local/tmp/BurritoRoot3.bin --root through adb to start the process? So I don't know how to do that and I have tried doing everything again so now I am a bit confused. Thanks for the video. please reply back. God Bless!

  • Nevermind to my last comment..

  • I dont have "Kindle" under other devices, help ?

  • @danielec27 only way I kno is to flash back to stock

  • How can I remove firefirefire bootloader?

  • @iamapterodactyl ur welcome :)

  • Great work with the video! Thanks so much for the help... your instructions worked flawlessly the first time, and I was rooted within 5 minutes. Thanks again.

  • there KFU link seems to be broken. any alternate DL locations?

  • @ciggac Nevermind, they got it working again

  • @Taurion54 try unplugging and replugging ur kindle. It must show up somewhere in device manager, u just need to find where

  • after i uninstall i do not have the kindle in other devices help? im planning to reset to factory defaults after tonight so wish me luck i guess

  • @xoswirleyox use my other rooting video to install the driver manually

  • I tried it manually and I am always missing a file.

  • Hello Nat3, your method is very simple but when I tried it said the installation failed and under the device name, it has a red X next to "Google, Inc (WinUSB)". What can I do to fix that problem?

  • f##king awesome. Follow it and its sooooooo easy. Bang.... done.

  • @chalder1 that's fire firefirefire u must have flashed it. It's suppose to do that

  • @wshqjc go to my other rooting video to install the driver manually

  • I am a chinese guy and wanna use your method to install a miui english system. But when i click the install_drivers.bat, it shows that i can't do that for my device doesn't support my current language. PS. my pc language is chinese. So how should i do to use your method?

  • After rooting I keep getting the fire triangle everytime I boot it eventually boots up. Ive tried re-installing the drivers and the samething happens. What is wrong?

  • @estrock66 hm, ud probably need to install the Google framework apk then the Google calender apk. The framework apk can be found in my how to install android market video, the calender ud need to Google

  • Hello Nat3... thank you for your helpful videos on rooting the kindle fire! I followed your instructions and it works great. Do you know how to get the kindle to sync with any of the Google calendar apps like calendar pad or jorte? Thanks again for your help.

  • @MrTopshelf333 try unplugging and replugging ur kindle. Ur kindle must show up there but might be under another section

  • @jacobswint after u uninstall the android driver, unplug and replug the kindle and it should show up

  • im having problems at the step in which you update the driver software in the deice manager. i have no other devices tab. i dont know why it isnt there or where to start in correcting this.

  • @AmerDamer1 try running that last command again

  • I followed your video and it seemed to work, but now there is a message on my Kindle (when the BurritoRoot app is open): "Please run /data/local/tmp/BurritoRoot3.bin --root through adb to start the process?" What do I need to do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

  • @liuj1998 the command is adb not and

  • if u can't see ur device in adb devices list here's what worked, first install the drivers then reboot ur computer then go back into command prompt type cd c:\kindleadb push enter, then enter adb devices and push enter then u should see ur device in adb devices list. thumbs up my comment if it worked

  • Great video! But when I was trying to install the driver, I got the following error message:

'and' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

    operable program or batch file.

The syntax of the command is incorrect.

I am using XP sp3 and Kindle Fire Utility is v0.9.3

    Any idea? Thanks!

  • @bethanybombshell yeah that's what the last command says, u may need reboot ur computer and kindle and try again or reinstall the driver if the commands arnt working

  • @bethanybombshell I cover that part in the video, that is the third command I believe that u enter

  • @nat3mil i just did the whole thing over step by step, and i am still getting this prompt...i just want this to be as simplest as possible but now i am stuck at this prompt still...am i supposed to enter /data/local/tmp/BurritoRoot3.bin --root in the command prompt?

  • im at a prompt that says please run/data/local/tmp/burritoRoot3.bin --root through adb to start process?

    example: adb shell /data/local/tmp/BurritoRoot3.bin --root

can you please tell me what i do at this point?

  • @dukek1d try manually installing using my other rooting video. U can also try the advice from others listed in the vid description

  • My device is not attaching after resetting the kindle to the drivers folder. I've unplugged and logged off various times and it still doesn't pull up the list. What can I do?

  • @amagi919 instructions can be found in the video description

  • Thanks, the app to unroot worked perfectly.

  • Awesome tutorials!! Got it rooted and now the Market, however I'm thinking of unrooting so I can stream movies from amazon again, sorry asked under the market tutorial, but if I unroot now that I have the market, will the market to still work?

  • @BIGBUCKEYEZ yes it will still work. easy way to unroot to watch amazon video is described in video description

  • @nat3mil Thanks! I'm sure I asked the same questions others will ask, so hopefully they read the comments before posting.

  • @BIGBUCKEYEZ install the android market with my other video if u want ;)

  • @louiedee279 there is no market. Apk file unless u put it there from my other video, so no u don't replace anything

  • Market.Apk file I mean??!!!

  • Do u need to replace market.Apo I can not buy apps on my rooted kindle fire

  • K so it's done and finished, now what? lol

  • i had same prob couldnt get kindleadb.zip but sdk already installed so i did this:

follow along w/everything else in video, when he unzips kindleadb.zip and opens it you can see the files inside are adb.exe fastboot.exe adbwinapi.dll and adbwinusbapi.dll, all of which come along with the android sdk.

simply copy paste those 4 files into the kindleadb folder he has you set up, as though u unzipped them from kindleadb.zip

worked for me, fire's rooted. kind of irks me i didnt think of it sooner..

  • @chuckysanders yeah thatll work, I just put up a new link for kindleadb :P

  • @nat3mil of course you did. but only because i dont need it anymore. murphy says if i was still googling for it you'd be a no-show =P

    ( jayceooi.com/2011/12/29/how-to-install-kindle-fire-adb-usb-driver-video/ )

And is WORKING for me and continue to next step....!

  • @unstopable96 install the driver manually by following my other rooting video

  • i'm having trouble because when i try and install the drivers i'm told that it can't. specifically, there is a red x instead of the green check next to my device

  • @orbatraiter try following my other rooting video to install the driver manually

  • @nat3mil um, do you mean to uninstall the kindle? i found that when i uninstall the driver, i see my kindle, but whenever i redownload the driver, i dont see it anymore. And no matter how many times i try i cant get it to pop up on the cmd :(

  • Thanks for this. I followed every step real time with the video and have just finished by having the Android Marketplace installed. Apart from the point when i restarted my Kindle and got the "Recovery Triangle" i left the device alone for 10 seconds then it carried on it's startup as normal (bit of a fright) but no issues - thanks again for the vids
