I think I can help you. Look at the data sheet of this IC: Allegro 4941. See if it can be used for the ESC. It is a complete ESC on a chip but it does not have a brake control and requires 5V minimum.

As an electrical engineer you would go more in depth into circuit design and the theory of control systems. Mechanical engineers also design control systems, but additionally learn about mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics for designing efficient engines, turbines, etc.

@FVP2MACAM 1S? Why not a 2S? Ya those little rotors are tiny, but take the battery from the UMX beast for example, and that would be awesome! I really like your design. It almost remindes me of a 330X mixed with an mQX.

Are those brushless outrunners? If they are, kudos! It seems it would be fairly difficult to sync those on such a tiny platform. Though I bet the battery life isn't that good....

Also, I have a challenge for you for version 2.0 ... make it CP. :)
