I like a good v8 as much as the next guy, but I'd have to see slips to prove that it actually runs an 11 sec pass. Maybe on a gutted car with suspension, but I dunno. Buddy has an 88 GT that runs 13-14's with bolt ons.
Can you say i have no respect for throwing a rod? or even doing damage to a motor?...you already said you don't do your own work...so just watch for the video of it blowing up...
This car still lays out 11-12 second quarter mile runs the drags with the same engine, 16 months after this video was taken... other than the clutch and driveshaft being changed everything is the same, so take whatever you smoked before leaving that comment, roll it and shove it up your ass kid.
I dont want to burst your bubble, but that is no 7k rev, redline is 6200. And that thing pretty darn stock.. and if so has lost all power by 5500. Mid 11 1/4 mile?? try 15's to high 14's. I agree it is your car do with it as you please.
this car runs at SIR out in auburn, wa and it does 11 second quarters. what you see as being stock is pretty much a big illusion cuz its been gutted, ported, bored and all you can think of to make it pop up on its back wheels and fly. yeah and the ecu is opened up and laid out with all sorts of doohickies and wires sticking out in all directions
Dude if you don't work on the car then what appreciation do you have for the vehicle. Scott makes a great point! Despite all the potential dangers of throwing a rod you are right just rebuild it. Sounds great though must be said! And i the 302 is a great motor!
Why would you do that? Be careful man one of these days you're gonna do that and you'll have a rod coming through that block...I mean a short burst like is probably ok but every time you spin it up that abruptly, you take just a bit of skin off those bearings... Just be careful bro, I'd hate to see ya git hit by flying parts.
Yeah, Nothing is butchered on this car, it is as clean of a job as can be...other than the ECU dangling from under the dash with a fan blowing air through it.
... The exhaust is 2.5 inches at the front, no cats, the exhaust dumps out through 2 of those big 4" mufflers you usually see on the back of Hondas. No up and over the axle, they dump out in front of the rear axle.
man...ya def need a different upper intake man, that little p.o.s stock upper is used on the non h.o cars (little air flow). perhaps a gt40 or trick flow
Dont waste your money on a trick flow or other intake.Get a ported & polished cobra intake. My buddy runs 10.13@134mph with twin turbos on a 331 with 5 speed,456 gears, and a POLISHED COBRA INTAKE.Its under my favorites on my profile.
Were you able to retain the factory GT40 pedestal mount roller rockers?

Ok. Disregard. I finished reading the list. Yeah, 11-12 from that is doable. I agree it does sound stock. Need a walk around video. XD

how easy would it be
to swap out my v6 3.8 engine
to a 5.0 in my 95 Mustang
MuscleCarJoves 2 years ago
Very easy, you need the wire harness, engine computer, 5.0 engine and the bellhousing for the transmission.
