  • i love the way i listened to ricky say this and thought "ooh i'll be the only one who actually searches this''....

  • Beautiful music. Too bad the Mormon Church stole it and turned it into a hymn for their cult.

  • @schladmingman It isn't 'stolen'; it is used by permission from Oxford University Press. Ralph Vaughan Williams wrote the hymn version himself & it appears in the English Hymnal, though obviously not with the same words as the Mormon church. The composition we happen to be enjoying right now is also based on an existing folk song and no one would argue that it was 'stolen'. I don't think it matters what another group does with a piece of music, as long as we can listen to the version we prefer.

  • VAUGHAN WILLIAMS

    Perhaps, the last English transcendent.

What a lovely man after the heart of Tolkien, Lewis, Belloc, Chesterton

    In musical form, that IS.

  • Dan Yell "Bed In Field"

  • Schindler's list in spaaaaaace

  • Ricky and Steve would be proud to know that at least some people are becoming more cultured as a result of Karl's musical ignorance. :)

  • @th3magicnumber

and also do you know which audiobook has the clive warren movie idea on it?

  • @november1ish Guide to the arts. After Ricky gervais states that his favorite piece of music is "Five variants of dives & lazarus" karl replies "I just don't think you can beat a good vocal on top of that"...lol

  • @th3magicnumber Best youtube comment EVER POSTED, PERIOD.

  • I could eat a knob at night.

  • What were the things in Gremlins called?

  • If you haven't got eyes, you shouldn't have wings.

  • I thought I wasn't going to like Cemetery Junction, but it actually turned out quite enjoyable. A lot better than the US movies that Gervais was in. Don't get me wrong, I love the Office, Extras, Idiot and the podcasts... I just think his US movies stunk. I'd prefer to see more movies like Cemetery Junction.

  • it looked like a ripped tennis ball..

  • Pope's dead...

  • If people actually posted Karl 'moments' that had something to do with the video, this might not end up looking like a Rainman style list of random quotes.

  • @stellen11 If you hate Ricky Gervais so much, why do you follow him so closely? Do you like getting yourself upset? Or are you in fact just a massive bellend with a terrible sense of humour.

  • sat and listened to this and thought only of the Japanese people, how could you not shed a few tears.

  • Quintessentially English. Pure bliss. pastorally perfect.

  • I'm playing this is my high school chamber orchestra!

  • @a7xlostie same here

  • I was still usin' me eyes even though I 'ad 'em shut.

  • "alright..."

  • Kingsfold has been my favourite tune since I was a lad and heard my father playing it on the organ.

  • There just isn't any more British piece of music than this. Unless it's "The Lark Ascending", maybe. Vaughan Williams had a marvelous ability to evoke the English countryside, and it's never more evident than hear. Lovely piece, lovely performance. Thanks for posting it.

  • The continual revolution of pictures and neon colors conflict with the majesty of sound pouring forth from such fingers filled with passion. The music is divine, yet the visual presentation holds an ill-favored effect of no pleasure. Some of the pictures are quite good. Slowing their debut would allow listeners to enrapture the beauty of such musical genius.

  • @fernandez3801 I totally agree. Not every musical composition lends itself to music video.
