Wouldn't call it the try of the century. Thats just a countries media trying to boost their countrys confidence up. Good try but not the try of the century.
@kefster00 All Blacks suck? You must not watch that much rugby with that comment. They are always regarded as the team to beat and have the best stats in the history of the game.
Jonah was in this team. He actually started with AB the week before in the first test against France. That is the only tour France won in NZ until now. The funny thing is that 1 week before "les bleus" were beaten by Canada!!!

try of the century my ass, ive scored better tries than tht, just cuz ur a frenchy, u think everything ur team does is amazing, even tho we completely dicked the fuck out of u in 6 nations
It was dubbed "try of the century" by the Sunday Times, maybe you know this famous French newspaper? :-p
Maybe you could also explain why the results of this year's 6 nations is relevant to a 1991 try?
Not everything the French team does is amazing, of course. But you oviously know nothing about rugby if you think that beating the All-Blacks on their own soil with a try like this scored in extra time is anything but amazing.
All Blacks are the best at 15's thats just a fact, even if they dont play so well atm, they are always number 1 in 15's
& Fiji is always the best at 7s, thats just how rugby is.. unless theres more money into 15's in samoa tonga Fiji ect.. & South Africa & Australia are also ALWAYS in top 3.... Southern Himosphear is the best rugby, so dont play smart french guys xD
Similarly, after WWII, they were again reintroduced in the 5 nations (They had been expeled in 32).
If you see the film Chariots of Fire, they point out that military friendship.
France rugby team also started to play a lot of tests agains Southern Hemisphere teams for the same reasons. So many of them died in France after the outbreak of WWI.
Also, tennis became important for that french generation. That's why the french dominated tennis in the late 20's.
Not easy, in rugby France is the only great latin country ( and now argentina ) and we ever fight with all the anglo-saxons nations. Anglo-saxons crowds, referees etc...And anglo-saxons people hate that is not anglo-saxon, and anglo-saxons people hate France.
Yes but historically, rugby is important is France because of WWI which France fought with Anglo-saxons countries. So many of them died in France from British Empire, South Africa, Africa, India, Australia, New Zealand, US, Canada.
In 1904 France signed an alliance with British Empire after centuries of problems. They were joined by Russia. From that on, English culture became important in France, Football, rugby, tennis. Thus they were admitted in the 5 nations tournament in 1910. After WWI, to honour that friendship, France was reintroduced in 5 nations (They had been expelled in 1914). Do you understand the connection?

yup and its john timu going over in the tackle, watch closely, infact i think u might be blind. jonah lomu chased for a lil bit but then gave up wen timu came flying up from the back to make the tackle. the guy going over in the tackle is number 15. John timu
read the below comments please im not saying jonah wasnt playing, i apologised for that and sed i was wrong. the guy down the page said it was jonah who took him over the tryline im saying it was a number 15 not jonah lomu
Whether it's NZ or Namibia, You know that on their day they'll put on a show and give anyone (even the Blackness) a lesson on how this wonderful sport should be played.

But it's true that the referee was bad. NZ should have win the 2007 rwc match against France, even if they didn't play a top level match at all.

Firstly NO British team has ever beaten N.Z. in a world cup. Usually they are thrashed!!
Secondly England have only won once. no better than N.Z.
Thirdly, every test match counts, and at last count the score was 25-6 to N.Z. The All Blacks having won the last seven!!
But You get another chance later in the year after the Boks thrash the Lions!!!
