I too am an atheist and operate solely from the principle of the Golden Rule.
Treat other people as you desire them to treat you.
That is the only "commandment" anyone ever needs. If we all stuck to this rule, there would be only peace, and no war.

That is correct, I am nice to people of any and every religion. In fact, I'm friends with Christians, Catholics, Pagans, Buddhists, and of course other Atheists.

would you care if some one thought you would exist for the rest of time (after you die) in unimaginable pain and suffering for not believing what they believe. and at the same time as loving, adoring and worshipping the decider of you fate, they must also AGREE that this should happen. If they thought you should not be painfully tortured for eternity for not thinking the same they to would have to pretty much not really believe in what they say they believe.
