Why is it that the Kenya government gives Tom Mboya near complete black-out. It's a shame that Stanford and Syracuse Universities in the US have the largest special collectioin on him. Anyone who wants to do serious research on this guy is constrained to turn to these two schools.
Big up Kibinge and her team..this is just wonderfull...from Sound design, Colouring, Editing, Visual elements....damn!! Props and bow down for the doc.
@kisser192@kisser192 Yes they did. They are pros in what they do yes but there comes a point where such stuff is outsourced coz it requires time to produce. Film requires a lot of time in terms shooting, scene set up and lighting or even final mixing up and down. With all that in mind i think that they needed film and so they hired a filmmaker :D The end product was pretty good. Btw I think that is a very good mve for them to reckon a Kenyan film maker :) ...I think it was shot in RED :)
well thought unfortunately all our politicians speak English when they tour their consituents, shame. by the way i like that headline"Mau mau in my Kitchen"
As much as this is interesting, we should be always wary of corporate media. May the real heroes of east Africa be identified and cherished rather than those charlatans we read and learn about in the skewed education system...
I have always wanted to see LOCAL DOCUMENTARIES by the NTV or any local TV on our HISTORY, POLITICAL ASSASSINATIONS, NAIROBI UNIVERSITY, TRIBAL CLASHES, MAU MAU, 82 COUP, MULTI PARTYISM, LEADERS like MATIBA, JARAMOGI, MBOYA ..........and many more but our major media houses don't look interested. AM sure this would be good for Justice Truth and Reconciliation. Nice work NTV.
This is beautiful. All my heroes from Hillary Ng'weno to Phillip Ochieng and guys I've always wondered about Gerry Loughran.
This is historic - and makes EaStandard's 100th birthday look like 15th. Just like i tried to hold on to every Nation or Standard my dad bought when I was a teenager , I'm holding on to this one.
Very true about how politicians are used to their picture being front page.....TM was ahead of his time, was highly respected by Martin Luther King and President JFK during the civil rights movt....Kenya would be very different today had Mzee not consolidated all power to himself....
great! good job .. keep it up =)
