You're not right, first, it's not written anywhere in the bible that Earth is only 6000 years. The number was "calculated" somewhere in Middle Ages by a bunch of "philosophurs" with retarded methods (hermeneutics etc.) Modern Christians follow that tradition, but original Christianity didn't say anything of that. Second, i guess it's only Christianity that postulate the age of 6000 years. A lot of religions like Hinduism say everything is eternal, very old, or repeats or so

The date isn't specific, but 6-8 thousand years is more or less accurate.
