Kovu is the character in Lion King II(the movie this song is from) He's a lion cub from an evil pride, though he himself isn't evil. Simba's daughter befriends him, then he's accused of bad things, and this song ensues. of course that's a very general idea, but it sort of explains. kovu has a scar on his face like harry(not a lightning bolt, but a scar nonetheless)
