The last time I caught an Arlo show was 2011 at the House of Blues Houston. The Black sisters with him. I was So moved by that show, I wish Someone had a video of that very show, yer pikn friend, Bullfrog. Thanx, Peace.
Thanks for the story behind the song. I used to hang out in Puerto Penasco when I was a kid, and loved hearing Hoyt sing this song. Sure miss that voice!
Great Arlo, Thanks Jackie for sending this, glad you got to see Steve too! call us anytime, we love you, I got a cel and gave Doug my old one. I will e-mail you the number. love you again, Vikki
Love this! (Always have ...even though it sometimes plays in my head when I'm tring to sleep) By the way, Hoyt was also my favorite supporting backstory character on WKRP in Cincinnati.
I had no idea that Mr. Ashton and Mr. Godfrey were cousins!! =)
Seriously though, Hoyt is missed by so many. I'm so sorry for the loss of he and Mae I'm Thankful that you posted the vid from The Boogie Woogie Gospel Rock & Roll Show. It will always be a favorite of mine!

Oh my, so great !! You can smell the deep friendship and love between those two cousins !
Isn't "Somebody turned on the light" as well from Uncle Hoyt ? This song definitely helped me survive the darkest few years of my life, no joke !
Thanks for this video !

Gods!! This was happening just 100 miles across the state from me. I could have, and WOULD have, been there, if I'd only known.
Sweet sounds, and a great memory of Hoyt. Thanks, Jackie!

Hoyt wrote that for you? ...I don't get it. That sounds like a bigger deal than Arlo makes it out to be.

Ha ha ha, ok, you've inspired me to write the story.
I just updated the above description.
Have fun!

Yeah, Hoyt was the coolest. And he'd be the coolest if Bony Fingers was the only song he ever wrote......

This is a good version of Evangalina, but it just makes me miss Hoyt's voice more.
