when i heard this on GomTV i thought it was the original at first, but even for a cover it is pretty impressive. there will always be the people who will favor the original, but you forget that sometimes the bands aren't doing covers for the fans of the original, but for themselves to get a chance to play a classic, and to expose their own fans to something classic
sorry, but journey does it better. this sounds just like they are only hitting the notes and getting the tempos right. i think it would've been better if you put more feeling into it. when journey sings performs this song, they put so much feeling into it. i'm not impressed with this. but hey, that's just my opinion.

this is very good, but this was one of journeys best songs already so no cover touches it. as far as skill, every band member is a legend and technical enough to compete with most 80s metal groups. every one of them has released solo or instrumental albums. learn your shit before you talk shit. no they are not my favorite band.
Cover is cool, but Pasi isn't even close to Steve Perry. Lack of Steve Perry is the simple reason why no Journey cover will ever do the original justice. Otherwise, awesome version! Just don't go saying it's better than the original (it isn't).
@jonoisgood someone is ignorant, records sold does not show you which band is better. Listen to other warmen songs, journey could not even try to play what warmen plays. journey is just a pop band, they just appeal to the mainstream listeners who don't listen to music for the music.
This is a cover according to the classic meaning of the term: it takes the original song, it adds something, in this case the very metal guitars, the way of singing and the choir, and give it to us, not a different song but a different.. uhm... style.
Personally I better love metal than 80's rock'n'roll so I really love this cover =)

This is badass and I also love the version by Journey and I was actually saying to myself a long time ago how awesome it would be if Warmen made a cover. Children of Bodom probably would've made a good cover too.

I feel let down... It isn't bad but they could have done better. Should've gotten Marco Heitala to do vocals - Northern Kings' cover of Don't Stop Believing is sick. :)
