  • afl players should be used as tackling machines in NFL instead of strictly being punters. no one would get passed them, sav rocca shows exactly why in this vid, isnt in the team for his tackling ability but is probably better than 90% of his team mates in that area.

  • I love AF, college, pros don't matter, it's great. I've played Aussie Rules for 15 yrs, pretty much since I could walk. I agree with south6bt, why make an us vs them joke out of this. I'd love to see more Aussies making their way over, even just Collegiate level. AF is the type of game we'd love, it has skill, it's exciting, it's tribal and it's fucking BRUTAL!!!

I say for every retired AFL baller that goes State side, send a scout back to search for playable talent in every other position!

  • Ironically, that would be a foul tackle in Australian football (too high).

  • Well he is 260 lbs

  • Hes the perfect punter. Has a really good leg and isnt afraid to hit. awesome!

  • Also - I enjoy the NFL and I certainly admire the athleticism required to play the game. If our AFL players wore headguards and some light padding, I'm sure out great game wouldn't be marred by the number of horrific, career-ending injuries we often see

  • Don't worry American friends, my Aussie countrymen on here who are dissing your sport are what the large majority of us Aussies call 'bogans' and 'wankers'.

A true Aussie loves all sport - that's why for a country of 22 million people we do reasonably well in a wide gamut of sports.

  • @iggyman83 fuck yeah, i hate them wankers, True aussie's as you said love all sport aymen to that

  • can u guys just enjoy how good sav is at both respective and very talented sports?

  • I'd like to see an America vs Rest of World series, would help promote the sport outside America

  • @BigSauce7

Dude, actually there is an "America vs Rest of the World" series of American football promoting the game overseas. The last cup was just last June and America won.

The world cup is organized by IFAF (International Federation of American Football)

This video is the match between Japan and Austria.

  • Seeing as how you play the sport professionally I would find it suprising (and a little bit sad for you) if you hadn't of thrashed the aussies in your american football world cup. Most aussies don't even know it existed.

There is no point point arguing which sport is better and who is tougher because the only thing they have in common is a funny shaped ball.

  • @koreill0

Just like I would find it surprising (and a little bit sad for you) if you hadn't trashed the Americans in your rugby world cup. Most Americans don't even know Rugby exist here either.

  • Haha. Australia just destroyed the US in rugby 67-5. What a joke some Americans are.

  • @SKiiSMLIVE

USA destroyed you worse 61-0 in American Football world cup.

    -pazNLkgeD0

At least we scored against you in rugby before losing. You? Not even a field goal. Who's the joke here?

  • @magnum5striker What the larger margin? 62 points or 61? Learn to count buddy. American Football is one of your national sports, it would be like the US going up against the All-Australian team in AFL.

  • @SKiiSMLIVE

LMAO!!! Are you fuckin' serious? You are using a 1 point margin of difference to make you look not so bad?

What's the large margin? 5 points score from us or NO SCORE AT ALL FROM YOU? You're the one who needs to count, dim bulb.

Yeah, just like rugby is one of your national sports...You're sort of stupid if you can't see the ridiculously obvious point I was making.

  • @magnum5striker A one point margin can mean the difference between a win and a loss, so don't act as if it doesn't matter. And sure, rugby is big here in Australia, but I'm not the one who came on and started talking shit. I was responding to some of the other comments, where people were saying that "Australia is shit".

  • @SKiiSMLIVE

It doesn' mean any difference when it's a ZERO score from you, dim bulb. I don't have to act as if doesn't matter because it doesn't at all. Quit grasping at straws.

I don't care why you did it. I only cared to return the compliment of smearing an ass kicking to your face.

  • @magnum5striker Fact is, we won by more, dim bulb. Whether you like it or not, we have more points for, and we won by a larger margin. America's population completely overrides that of Australia's, yet you still couldn't pick a team that didn't suck shit to represent your country. Plus, it is pretty evident that rugby is the harder sport. You could get guys that play American Football all the time and put them against a rugby team, and the rugby team will always be stronger, fitter and faster.

  • @SKiiSMLIVE

Oh, I love your spectacular straw grasping. Read it again, dufus...your score with us was ZERO, ZIP, NADA. Last time I checked 5 points was higher than NO POINTS, whether YOU like it or not. We are world ranked #17 out of 93 countries in a game that's hardly heard of in the US. So how do we suck? If rugby were just half as popular as basketball or football here we would be tearing you a new one.

Also love your childish "my dad can beat your dad." What are you, 12? grow up.

  • @magnum5striker What the fuck? Last time I checked, 67 was higher than 61. I love how Australia performs so much better in EVERY sport than anyone else considering our population, yet you still talk about how America is so superior. Get over it, for years we dominated the Olympics and now you come to tell me that the US would 'destroy' Australia? Fuckwit. Whats this 'my dad' shit? When did I mention parents?

  • @SKiiSMLIVE

Hey brainfuck, you talk as if the score of 67 and 61 were from the same game.Fuckin' hilarious how you claim Australia performs so much better in "EVERY" sport when you ended with ZERO score in.

You dominate the olympics? ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!! What the fuck do you put in that crack pipe? When was the last time...hell, when was even the first time you dominated the olympics? Count our gold medals, then go count yousr and get back to me about you "dominating" self deluded buffoon!

  • @magnum5striker Again, like I said, considering our population compared to America's, we have dominated. Look at the 2000 Olympics for an example. We have a TINY population, yet we still outperformed countries like Great Britain and Germany. I'm willing to accept the fact that we lost to the US in American Football, because that exactly what it is, American. I don't give a fuck about it. But when Americans come on here saying that they dominate every sport, even though they don't, its annoying.

  • @SKiiSMLIVE

I don't give a fuck about rugby either..but when Aussies come here smack talking about "we destroyed yanks in rugby" along with "we don't wear pads like softcocks yanks" multiply that X100 posts here, then it gets annoying too. Winning one or two events hardly makes "dominate the olympics"

You only dominate in rugby and aussie rules, that's it.

  • @magnum5striker And in the past, cricket, swimming and tennis. At least we can agree that some guys on the internet aren't worth talking to, though I'm guessing you might think of me as one of those guys.

  • @SKiiSMLIVE Oh, another one of those guys who thinks pads make the game for pussies. You can't argue with you on that, simply because its obvious you've never played AF to realized that helmets are used as a weapon in the sport, and your arms, legs, ribs, stomach, back and neck are all uncovered by pads. You have pads on but so does that 6'4 250 pound Linebacker charging at you. Tell me this hit wouldn't hurt you /watch?v=HwiMtGsFHwA&feature=related

  • @TheMagicBolt I don't think that. But still, imagine that same guy you just described coming at you with no padding whatsoever.

  • Fucking Owned weak as piss yanks

  • I hate these stupid arguments about who's sport is better and who competes better at each others sport. As an Aussie, I'm sick of my countrymen coming on here and baiting yanks. It really isn't a good look guys, we're better than that. I love the NFL, in my opinion it's a great sport and I enjoy watching it now that it's free to air here in Aus. Nuff said.

  • @south6bt the sport reminds me of the NRL in aus, boring. just my opinion so dont get all ahole on me.

  • @south6bt Well said

  • @magnum5striker its actually funny coz u think that australians care about nfl when we would rather have a kick of the footy coz its actually fun and everyone can partake so chill the fuck out

  • @vivalaricho

It's actually even funnier you saying they don't care about nfl when most nfl videos I visit MUST have several afl aussie douchebag stirring shit about how their game doesn't use padding like pussies, the hits are tougher, it's more exciting, blah blah blah. If they don't care, then I wish they would fuck off to their afl videos and stop coming to stir shit.

  • You're a hero mate.

  • @magnum5striker Nah mate, I'd just rather not stoop to your level and be an internet hero.

  • @getouttatown69

No, you just want to be the internet douchebag and pretend you know what you are talking about.

  • if you have ever watched an afl game you would see that it does happen that players are hit that hard, it may not happen as much as as it does in the nfl but it does happen,

im not denying that nfl are great athletes those big guys can move quick, they are just a different type of athlete, yea they can do the 100 in like 10 seconds with all the gear on but they wouldnt be able to run out a 2.5hr game covering over 20kms, thats the point i was tryna make, there is just no comparison in the games

  • @mattymul29

And how the hell do you know if they could run out 2.5h game or not? Have you evaluated them personally? They don't do it because the rules in this game do not require them to do so, not because they can't. And I have already seen AFL hits. Sorry, nothing to be impressed about when compared to NFL's tackling that bust heads protected by helmets. There's no comparison, alright.

  • @magnum5striker just like the rules of aussie rules doesnt require them to sprint flat out then come off and let someone else defend for them.

also the amount of drug testing in australia is huge, 1/2 the players in the nfl use/have used some form of hormones throughout their career.

the worst thing about the states is you have no such thing as amateur leagues, if you dont make it past college you just retire and eat burgers

  • @mattymul29

WTF? Half of NFL players doped? If that were true, the season would have been canceled from lack of available players. Your league has their own dirty laundry with 6 players tested positive last year. So don't pretend your league is any cleaner than NFL.

No, the worst thing is your blatant ignorance. There's the North American Football League(NAFL) which is an amateur league consisting of 100 teams. Next time do a little research before showing how clueless you are about a topic.

  • @magnum5striker

There's a reason for it being called 'American Football' dickhead.

  • @getouttatown69

Yes, poster child for inbreeding..it's because it originated in America, not because only America plays it. There are AF leagues in Germany, South Korea, Japan, Mexico, etc.

  • @magnum5striker

    Shut your head.

  • @getouttatown69

What, that's it? Just "shut your head"? No covering your ears with your hands, closing your eyes and go "La,la,la,la! I can't hear you!"? Wow! you sure put me in my place with that shattering rebuttal....NOT!

  • I hope Sav is enjoying his time at retirement camp ;) Haha, but seriously guys its just a bit of fun. We love the americans! (and anyone who DOSENT is just jealous)

  • Bennett was better.

  • He's a pretty big guy for a punter!!!

  • Hey Australians aren't the coolest in the world!

  • Yo sav rocca is a good punter maybe the best in the league. We will miss him in philly.

  • that punter should be playing defensive end or linebacker

  • As an Australian who plays American football as an amateur. With no bias against either sports, Australia was never going to even make a scratch on the American team for 1 - we only have an amateur league in each state with very little exposure, most people i mention it to say they didn't realise we played american football in australia, and the australian team had to pay for their own flights, plenty of people on my team should have been there but couldnt afford it.

  • Wonder if Americans can take a bump like us Aussies.. Without full body protection.

  • For all of you aussies talking how American Football sucks...know that you suck even worse in this game. Your country just lost against the US 61-0 in American Football World Cup.

    -pazNLkgeD0

61-0! Damn! With all your trash talk against AF and you couldn't even score a measly 3 point field goal against the US.

  • @magnum5striker Why don't the US make an AFL team, and try to conquer our best players on one team, then?

  • @colin4393

US already has an Aussie Rules team nicknamed "The Revolution" and finished 3rd in 2005 International Cup behind NZ and Papua New Guinea. Third place is not bad considering Aussie Rules is less popular in the US than even soccer. At least they SCORED POINTS.

  • @magnum5striker

You do realise Australia don't play in their own Aussie Rules International Cup? That would be absurd and they would beat every nation on earth with ease as it is the national game of Australia. That fact that the USA play in their OWN football world cup of their national sport, you would expect NO international team to score against them. That's like Roger Federer rolling into a playground and challenging 7 year olds to a game of tennis and bragging that they didn't win a point

  • @K3N5KI

By your ridiculous opinion, England shouldn't play FIFA world cup because it's their national game. US shouldn't participate in FIBA international basketball either because it's their national sport.

Realized yet how ridiculous that sounds?

International AF teams not only have scored against the US, but they have given the US team a hell of a match. US beat Mexico by only 10 points (17-7); Japan by only 3 in 2007 (23-20 US)

Come back when you know what you're talking 'bout, k?

  • @magnum5striker Right, but not a single player we send over for that is anywhere near NFL starting caliber. A lot of them are DIV III and DIV II guys with a few DIV I. I'd be surprised if any significant number of them would even be NFL practice squad level of player.

I'm not sure I can really give you an idea of how bad the players we're sending in comparison to the NFL level of play are except with one word: shit.

  • @magnum5striker Australia beat the US in Rugby, two separate games:

    55-19

    49-3

  • @fullboxxskater

At least we SCORED POINTS against you before losing.

  • @magnum5striker hey NFL is a sport made by Americans for Americans, or course you were gonna thrash us if we created a national AFL team and played against the Revolution the outcome would be reversed with the US on the receiving end of a thrashing as it is we don't have a national team because it wouldn't be fair on the the other teams

  • @magnum5striker Yeah they probably scored points against other countries. Australia was not in that international game! We versed you at you own sport! If australian team played yous 1 on 1 yous probably wouldn't score a point either so yeah .

  • @6FlukeArtist9

Probably, surely, woulda, shoulda...it's all about "we would" with you guys. Like I said before, talk with your game, not with your tough talk. You may beat us and that's to be expected, but not without scoring some points against you.

  • @magnum5striker of course you would its not that hard to score a point in our game especially since unlike Gridiron the game is continuous meaning the game does not stop (unless there is an injury and the umpire tells the timekeepers) until the end of the quarter unlike the Gridiron where every incomplete play (excluding a run obviously) results in time stoppages

  • @irishgodfatherchris

Then explain it to the previous poster I responded to claiming "your wouldn't score a point either", not me. I am well aware of your game's nature. And I think it's pretty stupid putting down a game because of the way it's played. So time stops in a game and it's not a constant motion, so what? Does that make your game better or something? It's not hard to score in AF either as many countries have scored against us. You're the only country with a "0" score against us.

  • @magnum5striker my point was its a lot easier to score in our game than it is in yours

  • @irishgodfatherchris

Well you seem to have missed my point, again. I was responding to someone else claiming we wouldn't score any points in your game against you. He's the one who doesn't understand your game's easier to score, not me. Did you get it this time?

  • @magnum5striker he may be right there is only one way to find out though and its not going to happen.

  • @magnum5striker Im just saying your being cocky over yous beating us at your sport. And we wern't in our own international cup. Just sayin don't wanna argue stating a point.

  • @6FlukeArtist9

Right, because no one here's being cocky with endless rants about "Yanks wouldn't play our game without pads", but I give you a little taste of your own trash talk and so now I'm the cocky one.

  • If anyoen wants to have an argument about whether AFL or NFL is better then lets blue right her qocs

  • @magnum5striker maybe if I was on the Australian team I would have kicked a field goal. Are NFL players allowed to play in the world cup?

  • @magnum5striker but its your game? Of course your gonna dominate over us......

  • @viccosurfer

That's my point...when you learn not to suck at it, trash talk against it all you want.

  • @magnum5striker But having a team that sucks at it, still doesn't change the fact that it's a boring as shit game...

  • @colin4393

Yet you find men in gaylord shorts doing care bears hugging tackles amusing? LMAO! I could find watching paint dry more amusing than that weak shit, so piss off...thank you.

  • @magnum5striker Weak shit? Your pussy players have to wear helmets, padding and tight 3/4 leggings! I LOVE how you've never watched a game of AFL in your life. That's why you will never understand...

  • @colin4393

We have to wear helmets and paddings because in the early years too many players died from brutal collisions and the president was getting fed up and threatened to ban the game. I LOVE how you've never played this game and got clobbered that's why you'll never understand why the padding is necessary, idiot.

  • @magnum5striker And?..Try vsing us at AFL than talk you tool!!! btw nice protective gear, dont want to get hurt or anything aye?!

  • @mickowacko9

Well why don't you get off behind youtube's safety zone and play the game and see how "it doesn't hurt" with the protective gear when you are sent to coma dreamland by Ray Lewis or Patrick Willis.

  • @magnum5striker

hey buddy, i think you will find that American football is the smallest sport in Australia.. most teams are lucky to get a side of 7 together which play both offence and defense,

at least in the states you can get numbers to field a full afl team.

also soccer is huge in the US, simply because the money, the american clubs can afford to buy all big name players such as Beckham

  • and im not saying Americans are soft cause the amour they wear, cause i know it really only covers the shoulders and doesnt protect you from a helmet in the guts, but you look at what rugby players go through, they hit just as hard without protection (they are also fucked in the head)

australian rules footballers are the fittest athletes going around, its not uncommon for them to run 20km's (12 and a 1/2 miles) in a game at full pelt aswell as taking big hits

  • @mattymul29

No, rugby players and Aussie rules players don't hit as hard as AF. In AF players are KO'ed and they wear helmets. A hit of that magnitude would be LETHAL in a game with no head protection. I'm sorry, but that's bullshit.

And don't try to impress me with AR players performance because AF players have nothing to be envious about.

Tell me how many AR or rugby players can dash this fast with 20-30lbs of padding on them.

    1IRWT_woUOQ

  • @mattymul29

Aussie rules is the smallest sport in America as well, almost non-existent. The only way you can find out about rugby games scores in America is through the league's website. Yet we came 3rd in an international cup. Soccer is not as huge as you think. It's the second (after Aussie rules) smallest sport in popularity here.

  • @magnum5striker yea i get what you mean, with the soccer any country that has a professional league id call the sport big,

but yea there is no comparison between AFL and NFL and who cares where we finish in the world cup or not scoring against the americans, also in that afl international cup, australia doesnt enter a team, if the american team were to verse australias international squad i highly doubt you would score or if you did its because afl is a fast moving game which is high scoring :)

  • @magnum5striker of course we lost i dont even no were u would find australians that play nfl ive never met 1 so shut the fuk up we would beat u in afl (our national sport) and u would beat us in nfl(your national sport) doesnt take a fukn genious to work that shit out.

  • @llukeg94

Great, another enlightened aussie who missed the point by a light-year, sheesh! Well for you trash-talking aussie faggots, it DOES take a genius. "Americans wouldn't last 5 minutes in Aussie!" "AF consist of fat asses who can't even move!"

Well how does it feel getting your ass kicked 61-0 by a bunch of "fat asses who can't even move" 61-0?

Precisesly because you know you would suck against us that you STFU with your trash talk against AF.

  • @magnum5striker How long has American Football been in your country? and how long has American football been in australia? There is a vast difference. Australia is an amatuer competition and all those players had to pay to play. WHere as your players were straight outta college and everything taken care of. IS AMERICA GOOD AT ANY SPORT THAT THEY DIDNT INVENT?? haha smh.

  • @TheSAXMAN36

Are we good at any sport we didn't invent? Try swimming, track and field, gymnastics, etc and count our gold medals of every olympic event, now count yours. haha smh.

AF has been around less in countries like Mexico and Japan and yet they gave the US a hell of a match before we won. So that's no excuse for your shitty performance.

  • @magnum5striker

Mexico started football in 1920s Japan:1934

Read up on it you idiot!! bahaha, australia only started football in 1996. lol ur tha sort of person that makes americans looks stupid, and i love americans.

And we are talk 'team' sports.... Cricket, Soccer, Rugby?

REmember that america has a population of above 300 million while australia has a population of not even 23million...?

A funny stat: worldwide America is 17th in Education but number 1 in confidence, tells ya something.

  • @TheSAXMAN36

Aussie rules only started in 1996 in the US as well and we came as far as 3rd place on international events despite poor popularity here, dolt. Sorry, still no excuse for your shitty performance (61-0).

Mexico started football only in universities, dumbass. No professional leagues until 1999 when they developed a pro league to play on international events.

You said "sports we didn't invent" not "team sports", now you use word play.

    -cont.-

  • Comment removed

  • @TheSAXMAN36 Can I correct you on a slight error?, Australia has been playing American football since 1985 & we've had amature gridiron state leagues since 1988, even though we aussies are getting better at playing american football we're still not high ranking coz american football is still considered a wuss sport coz of all the pads & helmets, we call american football gridiron

  • @magnum5striker This concerns less than 1% of Australians.

  • @ruinawish

Only because they lost so miserably. If they won 99.99% of aussies would flood every NFL video on youtube with smack talk about how they beat yanks at their own game.

  • @magnum5striker don't be mean to Australia, firstly we have one league in the whole country in which basically no one plays. American football in Australia is not played and barely watched, are athletes are generally focused on Rugby and Australian Rules football. Although Australia does have the best NFL punters in the league, you can't boast about beating us at American football.

If Australia played America in Australian Rules, we would probably win 200-20

  • @fullboxxskater

I wouldn't be mean to Australia if her people wouldn't be so damn irritating all the time on NFL videos talking smack how our game sucks compared to Aussie Rules and how our game is played by pussies because of the pads.

So what? We only have one AR league as well and its popularity is almost non-existent, yet we came as far as 3rd place on international events. Your punters are pretty good, but hardly the best. Jeff Feagles and Mike Scrifes come to mind for best punters.

  • @magnum5striker you came third because Australia does not field a team in the tournament

  • @irishgodfatherchris

Then make a team and talk with your game, not with your tough talk. Canada has an international hockey team, we have an international basketball team, England has an international soccer team. None came up with that bullshit "Oh let's not make an international team of our game, it wouldn't be fair against other countries." My guess is you wouldn't be able to handle a national embarrassment of losing so much as one game of your holy sport against any country.

  • @magnum5striker the whole idea of the International Cup is to raise the profile of the sport in other countries its not the same type of tournament then lets say the Rugby World Cup.

  • @magnum5striker the whole idea of the International Cup is to raise the profile of the sport in other countries its not the same type of tournament then lets say the Rugby World Cup.

  • @irishgodfatherchris Damn right.

  • Comment removed

  • @magnum5striker u know if u played us in afl we would proberbly win 400 - 0

  • @MrMatt2122

First, 400-0 is retarded beyond measure even by trash talking aussies standards.

And Second, probably and probably not and it it'lll never be known since you dipshits don't participate in your game on international level. So it's easy for you to say you could "probably"" smack anyone 1000-0 when you stay out of the picture. As we say here, put up or shut up.

  • @magnum5striker mate, there's a reason we don't participate in the international cup and it's for the very reason that we would dominate just like you do in the gridiron world cup. if we want our game to grow internationally, us playing and dominating serves no useful purpose.

  • @magnum5striker yes coz nfl is so big in aus realistically we would be us in aussie rules by 500+ points easy with a squad of b graders how many yanks u see in afl less than u see aussies in nfl Port Adelaide would beat america by 200 easy

  • Comment removed

  • have some respect for our sport you clowns.

  • that was the old school "can opener" tackle!

  • nfl is really good if you cant get to sleep, sorta like eating a big meal or reading a book

  • Thats how we do it in Australia!!

  • They probably wear tampons in the nfl with all that padding. in the afl the MEN dont wear padding and hit twice as hard

  • @jdogger5

Oh, what a surprise! Another AFL faggot boasting how his shitty game hits harder than football without ever even playing American football. Seriously, what is it like to have such a major little penis envy against AF? What forces you to look up for AF videos to rant about your fucken game being tougher like an insecure bitch? Does it let you sleep at night knowing we don't even know AFL's existence until you cunts show up to talk through your asses about it? I'd like to know, please.

  • @jdogger5

Sure you did, asshole and you came to rant about football padding like an envious little bitch as well?We do know who is he and what is AFL, we just don't give a flying shit about either and that what gets your panties in a knot. What really gets me laughing is how you think it's ignorance we don't know him like he's the fucking pope. He's only a big shot in your country. Not only I know NFL punters, but I can think of at least 6 with better record than that old shit Sav.

  • @magnum5striker of course they have a better record they've played longer, Gridiron is a sport played professionally only in the US where Corporations rule, similar to our AFL except most player have jobs that they go to on a Monday morning like the rest of us and the teams are owned and paid for the members of that club.

  • @irishgodfatherchris

Just how fucking ignorant are you? American football is played internationally. Check IFAF (International Federation of American Football) video page and see the videos of this year's world cup in Austria.

    user/IFAFinsider

Why anyone in the NFL would even need to have jobs when they are making MILLIONS per year? If I was in a sports league with a shitty salary like AFL, I would have to get a job too. Who cares who owns/pays your teams? You sound like a jealous schoolgirl.

  • @magnum5striker no I'm just pointing out a fact thats all, your guys are paid so much because the teams are privately owned or are listen on the stock exchange but that aside, Aussie rules is played internationally as well I was referring to Professional level, even the US has an Aussie rules team granted most are Australian ex-pats and the coaching staff are Australian but still my point is that you were going around saying "oh how good are we" in a game you guys invented of you're gonna win

  • @irishgodfatherchris

Well, I'm pointing the fact that whine like a bitch for the most insignificant details.

IFAF is played professionally..first you said AF is not played internationally, now that I made you look like a dumbass showing you that it is, you try to fix it with wordplay "Oh well, I meant to say profesionally"

Dude, just STFU and go play your shitty AFL

  • what the fuck are you guys fighting about, NFL and AFL are different sports

who gives a shit who hits harder or who can take a hit the best both sports are different and players are trained differently

  • What a pissa reading the comments arguing how tough each sport is!!! Hahaha bloody great. I love all three codes (and other codes of football) but these comments really show what kind of douche bag argues about how tough their sport is (on YouTube no less) to show how manly they are because they watch it on TV or played it as a kid. Very entertaining.

  • @fourwalls2007 Don't forget most Americans stop playing genuinely serious sport once they are done with High school. Where as aussies tend to play serious contact well into their 30's so that comment you made about sports people only played as a child really only applies to Americans.

  • @taipan185 I've seen Aussies playing AFL in their 30's. Most don't get moving fast enough to break a sweat let alone run into anything with serious power. Calling the local AFL side serious sport seriously puts doubt on any of the tough-talk that you are sprouting.

  • @fourwalls2007 There isn't one bit of tough talk. Just speaking from experience after playing years of Aussie rules Rugby union in the army and league in my early 20's plus a bit of Yank football aswell. Every last one of the serious injuries I have been unlucky enough to get has been playing aussie rules. If you don't think players in their 30's can hit hard you've never played or been to a game so wake up.

  • Ask someone to hit a tree of a brick wall while they are covered in that protective gear and may be inclined to give it a go. Ask the same person to do it with nothing more than a T-shirt and shorts on and I seriously don't think you'd find any takers. As I said it's easy to whack someone when you feel safe inside all that gear but it's a whole other story when it's just you in a shirt, shorts and football boots.

  • He slipped .. calm down

  • As an Aussie, the tackles in NRL and NFL are vastly different. Sure we don't wear pads in the NRL but we see the hit coming and it is usually front on, so you can prep yourself for the impact whereas in NFL, you can get cleaned up from any angle and you have no chance to prep yourself to take the hit. Hence why they need to wear pads. Two vastly different sports in terms of tackling so how about you recognise it fellas?

  • @apoiner Australian rules players get cleaned up constantly by players they don't see coming as it's more of a 360 degree sport than both of the other two you mentioned. League and union don't have anywhere near the stopage time the NFL does so on that front they are superior. It might pay to keep in mind it requires no corage to hit someone when you are covered from head to toe in protection.

  • @taipan185 Blah blah blah have you watched AFL lately??? Name a recent big hit that didn't end up at the tribunal? I'm not talking about the Southern Footy League where they stab each other though...

  • im not going to say that nfl isnt a painful sport because ive never played it. but dont fucking underestimate how hard the hits are in afl. PLAY BOTH FUCKING SPORTS BEFORE YOU START COMPARING THEM.

  • ...actually maybe garbage truck is an exageration...more like a small car.

  • From Down Under??

    its called Australia u retard.

  • great to see an aussie showing the yanks how to tackle!

  • @knoxtrey

Even greater is seeing a yank returning the lesson to aussie.

    Z_vYB3walr4

  • brick wall.

  • THATS HOW WE DO IT IN AUS BITCH

  • now thats an afl takle with no soreness with nice soft pads

  • Good Old Sav - Loved watching him for Collingwood back in the day.

    A couple of things:

    1. Rocca - its pronounced "Rocka" not "Roke-a")

    2. Look up Jordan Lewis gets knocked out.

  • I've seen both sports up close. Aussie football is completely off the chain. No pads, guys hitting each other at full speed...it's a blast to watch up close. Never had a problem with the Aussies. Lived in the outback for 2 1/2 yrs.

  • OWNED!!!!

  • just a shitty hit lol

  • All he wanted to do was give him a hug!

  • @EVENBLOODIERSAW300

hahahahahahahaha awesome, now that is a funny comment!

  • funny how Aussies can dominate at NFL, would love to see americans even make it into the AFL!

  • @dAmO158

LMAO! Not as funny as how you think only 2 aussies making it as punters, the wimpiest position in the game, is "dominating the NFL."

  • @dAmO158

    -cont.-

LMAO!! Why would any American with the potential to be in NFL, a multibillion dollar sports league, and make MILLIONS a year even consider to play in your mediocre AFL where your top superstars make only $500K/Year?

That's like a brain surgeon switching to become a school janitor!

You aussies never stop making me laugh! XD

  • @richard1972r No disrespect but people don't just play for money and our top "superstars" earn almost double that. Also, if you're wondering why our players go over to NFL it's because there not as agile as they use to be.

  • @richard1972r Your comments are simply... idiotic.

People play their sports because they want to. I can guarantee you this: Not everyone wants to play, or even CARES about NFL. I sure as hell don't. In Australia we have this thing called a SALARY CAP so that teams don't BUY their way to a premiership.. like other football codes. Cryingmushroom's correct... some AFL players have moved to NFL because there's nowhere near the amount of energy needed in NFL

It's best to think before you talk mate.

  • @whipcrackeraus

Not everyone gets offered a juicy $1 millon/year contract to play in the NFL just to kick the ball and sit down, idiot. If they did, I guarantee YOU they WILL CARE to join NFL overthere. If you and mushroom think people play their sports "for the love of it" and not for money, better look in the mirror for who needs to think before talking, "mate".

  • @richard1972r If everyone played football for the money, then why would AFL & NFL exist? They wouldn't. Everyone would start playing soccer. Besides, people DO get 1 million dollar contracts in the AFL...

You remind me of the typical American that thinks that everything in their country's better than any other country. We don't play NFL here because every Aussie thinks it sucks, simple as that. Wearing plastic armour, helmets and leotards aren't our thing. Only in USA they play for the money..

  • @whipcrackeraus

Great logic there, Einstein! NFL's is a multi-billion dollar league, so if every one played for money, all the more reason for NFL to exist, dumbass. Even NFL rookies like Jake Long, make more than the average soccer or aussie rules player with $57 million 5 year contract. How much do you think YOU suck if all you aussies can do here is punt the ball and some of you call that "dominating the NFL" like that other brainiac mushroom claimed. I cried of laughter reading that.
