I think that Saffron Burrows did fine with the role that was put in front of her, however the screenplay was not true to the novel in many aspects. Nan's character being one of them. I have always loved this movie and it is still a favorite of mine, but when I read the novel I felt slightly disappointed in it's film adaption. The book is very beautiful and heartfelt, and much much deeper than the film.
why are comments on this video (this one part) all about homosexuality and sinning...its one line in the movie. Sex is sin..thats the entire line! So get over it all and love the movie. If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all. GOD bless us all.

A lot of scene is change and not being included in the movie. Its better in the book. Like the how benny and eve became friends in benneys birthday. How they grow up together. Accident happen in their 1st week in Dublin for college. Thats the time they meet nan because she is part of the accident and jack the one help them in hospital. Then nan introduce them to the others like aidan, brian, jonny, sean and Carmen, Sheila and rosemary and others. heather, eve little cousin
i so reckon she is about to crack up laughing when he gets real close to her in this film.. when he gropes her boob earlier on too.. i would if i were her lol ..theyre both really good in this film!!
