Sorry for intruding, but I thought if I have to place my ode to Kraftwerk, I might as well put it here :) Entschuldige die Störung, aber ich dachte mich dass meine Aubade an Kraftwerk am besten hier ginge :) Sorry voor de interruptie, maar ik dacht dat mijn ode aan Kraftwerk het beste hier zou passen :)

Lyrics: We're charging our battery And now we're full of energy We are the robots We're functioning automatik And we are dancing mechanik We are the robots Ja tvoi sluga (=I'm your slave) Ja tvoi robotnik (=I'm your worker) We are programmed just to do anything you want us to we are the robots We're functioning automatic and we are dancing mechanic We are the robots Ja tvoi sluga (=I'm your slave) Ja tvoi robotnik (=I'm your worker) We are the robots
I got just a casette from Yugoton (Yugoslovanian company) of this album and it screeches while it plays sometiems so it has 'extra' sound effects XDDDDD
@classof77 actually, have listen to the 1974 song "Boogie On Reggae Woman" by Stevie Wonder. That's a very cool synth funky bass line. That song is kinda what kickstarted the importance of synth bass in popular music, and it precedes this one.
Make no misunderstanding, I am not discrediting Kraftwerk of their superb music and pioneering style!
Nothing better than preparing my german exam with Kraftwerk ;)

Awesome song by an awesome band. I can't believe this was made back in the 70's. So revolutionary.

This is THE electro tune every record is based on nowadays

Damn, this track is so deluxe. I dare you not to nod along with that mechanistic rhythm.
"The Robots" is to synth bass lines what Van Halen's "Eruption" is to electric guitar solos.

I took you up on your dare... lasted about 15 seconds.
Kraftwerk were wizards with synths and sequencers. Modern music is indebted to them in a huge way.
