The Black and Hispanic peole can NEVER BE BLAMED FOR THEIR RACIAL ANIMOSITIES. THEY ARE REACTING TO 500 YEARS OF DISRIMINATION AND OPPRESSION AT THE HANDS OF THE US GOV'T AND ITS POLICIES BASED ON RACE. SO THE WHITE MAN TODAY MAY HAVE HIS GRIEVANCES, BUT YOU CAN NEVER UNDERSTAND BECAUSE IT DID NOT AFFECT YOU, YOU HAVE BENEFITTED ECONOMICALLY, SOCIALLY, AND POLITICALLY ON THE BACKS OF
As a white man who grew up in Baltimore and deep south Texas, white people are by far the least racist people in those areas. Hispanic people and black people are WAAAY more racist and judgemental than white people. There is nothing that will change my mind because I've lived through it. Every skin color is gonna have racist people. I can't stand this "I'm a victim" bullshit. Anyway, great song.
it is what it is and will always be white supremacy through society, education, law,and money. Im not racist but I understand equal is just a word. Im so grateful for the strong blacks who had sacrifice everything to let there be change. We came a long way but still have a longer path to make more changes..... besides God whos with me?
School is just school. Education goes farther than sitting in a classroom. If you're educated on knowledge of self, no matter what NATION/NATIONALITY you're part of, have love for self, then it's easier to love someone else regardless to skin tone. We all have to be socially educated. #unlearn
You guys cannot be serious!!! Wheetau....I have been black all my life and I have a degree, but white folks take one look at my skin and decide who I am just by looking at me. My little brother is a doctor and got pulled over by the police because he was driving a nice car...So don't tell me it about education because my family is success when it comes down to that area.
I almost cry whenever I listen to this... it reminds me what happen in Jakarta in 1998.. Some people still need to learn how to saw human as human, not as color, not as race...
And the lack of education to our children is getting worse with the governments slacking education and also laying off or not bothering to hire public service. Just as long as top management keeps their big fat salaries, they don't care to put our lives or our future at risk!
@Wheetau It's more than just an education problem. It's classism in America that's the problem. It doesn't matter what color your skin is. If you grow up around poverty, violence and ignorance, it's really hard to make it anywhere. Or to even stay alive or out of jail for that matter. Higher levels just aren't attainable for the vast majority of the lower class. But that's capitalism for you...
What a way to be degraded and it hurts but I forgive, not forget. A lot of water has gone under the bridge. MLK may GOD forever hold you in the light. You did a lot for people not just blacks but all people. So many still do recognize what he really did. All people do not hate.
the reason more black people are racist these days is because alot of black people try to get along with whites but then they turn around most of them not all of them and show their true colors some whites try to pretend they like you and really dont so, why should most blacks bother to deal with them at all if their always gonna holla nigger when they get mad at you.
teaching our children that "the white man" hates black people is only a perpetuation of racism.
i continue to long for the day not when a black man isnt profiled by the cops, not when a black man is elected president, but for the day when a black man is not recognized as being a black man, but is recognized for what he is at his core - a man.
my color is irrelevant. I am a man, and that is all i want you to see.
Thank you for posting this video. No matter where a person of colour live, they faced some form of prejudice whether the action is settle or extreme. In the United States we have along history of racial tension, in the Old South and the Northeast. We must keep our eyes on the prize no matter how difficult the situation may seem.. I can not imagine the living through the time of King and his forefathers. I would like to thank all of the visionaries who fought and died for Our freedom.
betterworld1, I agree that some blacks are racist and maybe, just maybe they were traumatized by a racist encounter. If you haven't experienced racism, you are blessed. RACISM CREATES HATE!!!
wow. this is deep. Its almost unbelievable to know that shit happend right here in the U.S. I guess growing up in NYC shit like this seems so unlikely. This really smacks you in the face with a reality check.
