  • Excellent video! You saved me alot of time from having to look up how to install programs under linux.

    All the text tutorials out there tell you to run various files in the terminal and I was lost instantly. Your method using the application manager works better than windows! (I got windows and linux on one machine now and its my first time using linux)

  • Hey digit that in the console as $sudo dpkg--configure-a later enter and your synaptic will be ready again.

  • my synaptic package manager tells me to run dpkg --configure -a to correct a problem and when i try to run it through a terminal it says i must be logged in as a super user and i only have 1 user... wat do i do?

  • I use "Kubuntu" on my other pc, which comes with KDE desktop installed. It uses another package manager, called Adept. Would you know how to install software using that? I have downloaded software packages, but have not figured out how to install them. If you could help, I'd appreciate it.

  • Check out the ubuntu website, it shows you how to use the installation utilities.

  • I have, and I really don't understand the instructions that well. But I think I will switch to Ubuntu as you are using there.
