Only a handfull of the producers acually make there own beats from scratch, and they are known. Producers like Dr Dre, Diddy, lil john, They pay for production. Come on bro even slightly experienced cats know that'll give you a jumbled mess with all the lower frequency stuff jumbled together. Bass is one thing you cannot separate out that easy. If you want the part, your better off trying to mimic it with a bass synth or like you said an ocarina (Really?) or other GM instrument sound in the lower octaves.

Yeah, if you listen to his songs "Fuck wit dre day", "Who am I (What's my name)" and "Deez Nuuuts" you'll hear they all use the same Funkadelic sample for the bass but they all sound different. The bassline has some changes during the song so you can tell it was re-played (The original bass from the sample doesn't sound the same as these, and it also doesn't have all the variations). That's the real way to produce G-Funk!!

@sunray1984 - u want a tip, follow your drums or sample/instruments or both with your bass. there are really not that many bass notes in the right frequencies so its not that hard to find notes that work with your beat. sine waves , gain, distortion, all good things to know. i am not at all a fan of expert village videos as we all know they are generally not the place to learn much, but i would be willing to bet someone learned something from this video so try being a bit more respectful
