I don't think Paul is doing bible study here and so can quote all the bible scriptures in details. With the 3 mins, he is basically warning the people there who think they are saved, think again!!! Many Christian today need to wake up and think again what is "faith". Paul Washer is an example of how to put God first and as everything in your life.. The reason why many don't agree with Paul is because they don't want to live for Christ to an extend that he's living in. I look at nice and friendly pastors that as well preach the truth too. I just believe that Paul will get more rewards in the end from God. Not that Paul is only spreading the word to get more rewards than anyone, but to do everything in God's Will

The point is that it doesn't make sense for God to take some sort of shape on Earth to be seen. That's why Jesus is not all three persons of the Trinity, but he is still the exact imprint of the nature of God, because he demonstrated the love of the Triune God on the cross. God is love.

I had gotten in trouble for doing projects at my school that were very gospel centered because the school is very liberal so I wasnt sure what was going to happen when the video was viewed for the first time in front of my class and the teacher. No one who doesn't obey Christ will make it to heaven, that doesn't mean we are saved by works. Works are evidence of true saving faith

@77wagnho I hope you don't mind but I feel you miss the point. Either the bible is correct or it is not. If you need a human to interpret ambiguous text then where do you stop? Was Jesus's resurrection just an allegory? Did the aspostles "feel" Jesus was with them again?

Gen. 1 is a timeline of creation. Gen. 2 is an entirelly different matter. starting from verse 2:4b the author explains simply HOW the plants came to be. he then explains HOW humans came to be. then HOW the garden of eden was created. not plants in general, but a specific place. the timeline in chapter 2 goes something like this: plants, humans, garden of eden. just in case u didnt see that

Acts 1:Judas buys a field, Matthew 27, the money that belongs to Judas is used to buy a field by the chief priests, so it is bought indirectly by Judas, no contradiction just different detail. Matthew he hangs himself, Acts he falls and bursts open, hung himself and then the rope snapped? No contradiction, different details.
@UrukEngineer Ever read the parable on Matthew 13? The field is the world, and Judas burned and killed his humanity away for the world. When you are hanged, depending on your weight, where you hang yourself, that will happen. The author of Mark, Matthew, etc are different, therefore making the style of writing different. That is why the cock crowed once in Matthew 26:74, where Matthew's style of writing is to the Jews.

Why? He could have done a very lousy job hanging himself. This is not a different account, it is merely complementing what is already there. One person tells this part of the story, the other tells that part.

@TheCrushmaster The degree of contradiction may not be absolute, however the omission of hanging in the Acts account is a serious one and leads to a completely diffferent story. At best it is misleading. How is this consistent with a perfect god? How can god allow such a misleading text if this truly is "his word"?

One commentator, I believe, noted that Peter (I believe he was the one speaking) may not have even said that; Luke, the writer of Acts, may have, as Judas going out and hanging himself was probably common knowledge. He was just adding a bit; shedding a different light on the same subject, like the Gospels do.
You, a man, had to add stuff to make sense of the discrepancy in the bible. God's word was far from perfect. If it is valid for YOU to add bits then I can add bits too and my comments are equally valid - we both being just men.
I would like to add that Jesus didn't die, the apostles just saw him in their heads. That accounts for so few who recognised him just a few days after he was crucified.

I believe, there are 4 different gospels, because God wanted, the very act of His redemtion, the incarnation of the second person in the Trinity, The manifistation of the Word and the True Light, to be recorded by four different witnesses. With the purpouse not only to make our knowledge of Jesus richer, but also to make the Judgment bigger upon unbelievers. because they have now little excuse.
@UrukEngineer its so foolish to argue with anyone who hates god because they will never look for the truth in the bible nor in god but they will only look for the wrongs and inconsistency. There so hardened in their hearts they will never see the truth and love god has to offer. They will disregard it all no matter how much proof is given to them. There hate is biblical and they think they are tearing down Christianity when really there building it. 2000 years ago this was written.

Many Christian today need to wake up and think again what is "faith". When you confess Jesus is Lord, Holy Spirit is in u and u are given the right BUT it doesn't mean you can then sit there & wait to go to heaven. The reason why many don't agree with Paul is because they don't want to live for Christ to an extend that he's living in. I look at nice and friendly pastors that as well preach the truth too. The point is that it doesn't make sense for God to take some sort of shape on Earth to be seen. That's why Jesus is not all three persons of the Trinity, but he is still the exact imprint of the nature of God, because he demonstrated the love of the Triune God on the cross. God is love.

I had gotten in trouble for doing projects at my school that were very gospel centered because the school is very liberal so I wasnt sure what was going to happen when the video was viewed for the first time in front of my class and the teacher. My hope was that through this video God would save one of my classmates and HE DID!!! It was awesome! :)

No one who doesn't obey Christ will make it to heaven, that doesn't mean we are saved by works. Works are evidence of true saving faith

Scripture says the one who endures to the end will be saved. Even Christ told people to obey Gods commandments! This is a powerful message & yes it erks me to hear words like that, so blunt. Well, so far my bible outlines what this man is saying. This means my God is a loving God but he is a God who requires our availability. @77wagnho I hope you don't mind but I feel you miss the point. Either the bible is correct or it is not. If you need a human to interpret ambiguous text then where do you stop? Was Jesus's resurrection just an allegory? Did the aspostles "feel" Jesus was with them again?
Either god guided their hands - or they just made it up. Remember much of the key text was written 60 or so years later. Can you remember facts from 60 years earlier in your life?

Gen. 1 is a timeline of creation. Gen. 2 is an entirelly different matter. starting from verse 2:4b the author explains simply HOW the plants came to be. he then explains HOW humans came to be. then HOW the garden of eden was created. not plants in general, but a specific place. the timeline in chapter 2 goes something like this: plants, humans, garden of eden. just in case u didnt see that

@Peacy Even hate speach is protected for a reason. Because if you limit speach at all, its just stepping stone to shutting out everything else. Life is difficult enough to live, especally to be a "good" person. I don't need someone elses fake book to tell me how to live because I can see how it needs to be done. The only reason you follow the book you do is because of where you were born an the time you were born in. I hope one day you realize that and act upon the knowledge.

@UrukEngineer Matthew 26 records the rooster crowing, it does not say that it did not crow twice. So there is no contradiction with Mark 14, just different detail given.
Acts 1:Judas buys a field, Matthew 27, the money that belongs to Judas is used to buy a field by the chief priests, so it is bought indirectly by Judas, no contradiction just different detail. Matthew he hangs himself, Acts he falls and bursts open, hung himself and then the rope snapped? No contradiction, different details.

@UrukEngineer Ever read the parable on Matthew 13? The field is the world, and Judas burned and killed his humanity away for the world. When you are hanged, depending on your weight, where you hang yourself, that will happen. The author of Mark, Matthew, etc are different, therefore making the style of writing different. That is why the cock crowed once in Matthew 26:74, where Matthew's style of writing is to the Jews.

@UrukEngineer No contradiction there. When a body hangs and decomposes, that which was described in Acts 1, verse 18, is the grisly result. One man commented: "Vs. 1:18 burst open in the middle. Probably due to Judas's ineptness in trying to hang himself (Matt. 27:5)."

Acts 1:18. "Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out"
If he had been hung first then it would have said so and not "fallen headlong".
More likely explanation is that one or the other account is made up.

Why? He could have done a very lousy job hanging himself. This is not a different account, it is merely complementing what is already there. One person tells this part of the story, the other tells that part.

For your explanation to be correct, he must have done a GOOD job in hanging himself as he would had to hang there for weeks before decomposing in that way. Besides, to have decomposed that much and fallen from the noose, his head would have come off.
If this is what the bible meant, it would not have missed out such key points.

At best it is misleading. How is this consistent with a perfect god? How can god allow such a misleading text if this truly is "his word"?

One commentator, I believe, noted that Peter (I believe he was the one speaking) may not have even said that; Luke, the writer of Acts, may have, as Judas going out and hanging himself was probably common knowledge. He was just adding a bit; shedding a different light on the same subject, like the Gospels do.

I would like to add that Jesus didn't die, the apostles just saw him in their heads. That accounts for so few who recognised him just a few days after he was crucified.

Just as the bible doesn't explain why disciples who had been so long with Jesus did not recognise him after he "returned". So I added that he did so only in their minds. I "explained" it too.

I believe, there are 4 different gospels, because God wanted, the very act of His redemtion, the incarnation of the second person in the Trinity, The manifistation of the Word and the True Light, to be recorded by four different witnesses. With the purpouse not only to make our knowledge of Jesus richer, but also to make the Judgment bigger upon unbelievers. because they have now little excuse.
