On 25th April 1987 I travelled Euston, Watford Junction to Sellfield and return hauled by these 2 trains. it was supposed to be The Scotsman both ways but they claimed to have trouble turning it (triangle too small) and had to call upon the locally based City of Wells for the return journey which, incidentally, was interrupted by a bomb scare !! Are you saying that they repeated the exercise the following week ??
Sorry, it wasn't very polite to publicise my own video. What I should have said was that the shots are super and they certainly show the advantage of NOT having smoke deflectors.

Great to see steam in action. Would like to see action of the locomotive
drive bars, slow motion, leaving/arriving at a station. Add data on the engine, as to HP, driver size etc.
