Every actor and actress is entitled to his or her off days when they do this kind of vocal stunt eight nights a week. Those who think it should be perfect are seriously jaded if they think it's possible to match the recording quality. First off, I'd like to see you try to do it better and second, I'd stop criticizing if you've never even been in a musical.

Also, the recording is a bit of rubbish, but I'm totally happy it exists! It's always nice to see what's really going on.

Well, watching it on YouTube kind of throws off the quality of sound. She is hitting the notes, but when she turns around, the little digital camera used to record this can only pick up so much sound. So it sounds like she is off. Thats the same way when it sounds like she's shouting. Also, you are VERY wrong. Idina Menzel has an amazing voice, and will never sound like "shit."
