Wow. I never knew until now that they used to show the sponsor's product in the end credits. Try doing that today--the end credits are anamorphically squeezed into the side or bottom of the screen and scrolled so fast that they're impossible to read.

Yes, all shows would put the sponsor's product at the end - and that IS why you always see that space on re-runs! The Monkees were great, it was usually Kellogg's cereals!

Ah, yes, this was the week when Lever Brothers {makers of Lifebuoy} sponsored "GET SMART". R.J. Reynolds {Salem} was the alternate sponsor- this is why Max "lit up" in virtually every episode. The sponsor's product was orginally flashed during the closing credits...and the cast usually delivered an "integrated" commercial for the product at the end of the episode.
