I have watched your Ode to Joy video countless times trying to figure out what the hells you are playing! I finally, out of self-preservation decided that it isn't really a fiddle, or you are an alien, or something. Cause damn!! If I could only play half as well as you guys do, I'd be in there. Is it physically possible if you are not a superhuman?

hey both you guys are awesome,but could the fiddler make a real lesson showing some basic chops(shapes that work over the entire neck)..also are you in standard or alt tuning?

That's a good idea. I'll try to make a video soon showing some basic fiddle techniques that can make a big big difference. Also, I usually only play in standard tuning. I think that with the violin that's all you need, your fingers can do the rest

What do you mean? There are infinite versions of this song I think, but the thing about fiddle is that you can make each song your own through improvisation

The name of the song is Cripple Creek. I improvised all the embellishments and stuff

Well see...thats waht I needed a basic approach to the elements...some guys are so fast I can't keep all the notes to the melody seperated from embellishments!
