Yeah, if you don't look into the series you can't quite tell what is what. Nowadays I could look at any of the boxart things and know what everything is, even without a roster for the game.
One day they need to have a game with all the series they've only used once.
Since said game would have RahXephon, Crossbone Gundam, Fafner, GunXSword, Zoids and Betterman in at once, it would instantly be awesome. And no, I don't count Gakuen.
How in the hell did I forget Escaflowne? And how in the hell did I overlook the entirety of NEO?
Nevertheless, I didn't count L and Z2, so that would include Gurren Lagann, VOTOMS, Dai-Guard, Code Geass, Linebarrels, Iczer, etc...
And once Gainax stops being slackers we can have Rebuild of Evangelion in as well without the plot ending with "We're sorry for the inconvenience, but only half of the story is finished. Please have a nice day."
And as such I counted up the roster for the proposed thing. But I decided not to count Z2, L, or NEO as those are very recent, and they could be re-using any of those whenever they want.
So that gives us Acrobunch, Betterman, Daioja, Escaflowne, Fafner, GoLion, Gun X Sword, Crossbone Gundam, all of SEED that isn't the original or Destiny, Mechander Robo, Megazone 23, RahXephon, and Zoids.
I'd say something like this should be their 3DS title. Stand-alone, maybe not voiced but good animation.
This theme is pretty much the reason why i always watched RahXephon attack animations.
