Great Video, i just didn't understand what the rush was in getting thru all the techniques. but Josh you did a great job going all the way to the end. Congratulations on you achievement getting the blue belt. these videos are inspiring all the time i wish i could get to a place close so i can get to blue belt status and beyond.
I could tell after his first roll that he was gassing out. However, he continued to fight through. Only advice I would give is to train open guard to prevent that pass to his right where he ended up on the bottom in a knee on his belly situation more times than not.
this is what promotion should be about....knowing and executing the moves and not ...........2 years white 2 years blue 2 years purple 2 brown then black =10,000 dollars :)
@jaymont1984 It has been almost 2 years now.... and is not that i am bad, but i started at Puerto Rico Japaneses jujitsu then i move to florida and i got there to blue 3 stripes BJJ Carlson GRACIE, then i moved back to Puerto Rico and sinces they are different styles... i had to start again with the belt i had but now i am orange Japanese jujitsu. and i even have some videos on my channel.
@DestroyCo it sounds like you've had the opportunity to train with alot of good instructors and you've had alot of good experiences, think of it that way. It sounds to me like you ARE a blue belt, but maybe you don't have a blue belt. make sense?
@jaymont1984 It does, and i know what you mean, and i feel that way, but look at this way... I started at the same time as my cousin in Puerto Rico he is now a blue belt.... and when i moved to Florida, some of them started at the same time as me, and they are blue belts. :\
Well done on the blue belt, watching this video has help me to decided to restart BJJ as a white belt age 46.
