They both are good for different reasons if you watch with an open mind. UK Skins was more raw and had benifits of being uncensor. US Skins had good music and cinematography. IMO

The Skins UK version was better because E4 didn't censor most of the show like the US Skins did though! In the UK 16 & over you can have sex however in the US you've got to be older & think its 18 for sex there & 21 to drink too. So don't know why MTV USA decided to make an American version in the 1st place?

It's not supposed to be about the hotness of the actors - it's supposed to revolve around the actual storyline. The only characters that are supposed to be particularly hot are Effy, Tony and Michelle - which they are in both the US and UK - but the UK version has substance which is why it will ALWAYS be better...

So sad the us version was cancelled. Both were awesome but the us version had a different twist. I guess I like the uk version better because it was more raw; had more profanity and sexuality so it wasn't so censored. Made it feel real. I still love us skins because some of the characters fit the roles better than the uk skins I think... Chris mostly. Either way beautiful show

I've not watched US Skins, but based on the general theme of morality and God-fearing that runs through most other American TV shows (that I've watched) I don't much fancy it...I doubt there's much entertainment from what I've previously seen/mentioned. Most kids aren't even allowed out until they're in their 20's. Also how old are the actors for American skins? (teen shows in the US don't usual have teenagers in them, they're all clearly 30)
