I love this song, "Things get damaged. Things get broken. I thought we'd manage. But words left unspoken left us so brittle, there was so little left to give..." Depeche is so my summertime music, perfect for road trips. Truth is it's perfect anytime of year for any reason : )
this circuit was built using a 16F877 microcontroller with 3-channel software PWM for the outputs. Since I dont have the schematic anymore I cannot post it here - but if someone is interested in the source i could probably find it.
It took a few hours to build since it is done on a hobby board and not a printed pcb.
it is nice, if you could print on some pictures or photos on the candles it will be more pretty. i found one company have this type of candles and they have printer could do printing on candles. you could found them on 3W sinounic com
I LONE THIS LAMP AND I LOVE THAT YOU HAVE DEPECHE MODE PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND! GREAT JOB!

iam a LED fan, i think the circuit behind this should not be a $2 or $3 at most.
Only thing is iam not able to find the circuit yet.
DO you have that circuit ?

I had a fetish for electronics during that schitzophrenic episode, I wonder what I was thinking, or rather, what -who- was thinking ???

Awesome!
How much time did it take you to wire all the LEDs?
