That was like the first disneyland paris advert i saw cus i was born in 1992 and we got the video in 1992 with it on

I feel quite special because this park opened two days before i was born! When I found that out i was amazed and like 'WOW!!!'

on a side note, I am doing a class presentation about Disneyworld [Euro Disney] to be specific, and I would appreciate a short video of the opening [mainly the theme song/characters highlights and fireworks at the end] in 2mintues or less.

why did the castle look like the one at disney world and tokyo disneyland ?

They used the footage from Walt Disney World because the park had just be launched. =P

I seem to recall on YouTube once a commercial for the opening of Tokyo Disneyland. And like the DLP preview after it, the TDL preview features images from only DL and WDW. It's mostly the former, but they use the latter to show Cinderella Castle, which of course is the castle of TDL.

Well, yes, I guess that's the way they seem to make the commercials for the opening of these parks. If you see the earlier commercial for EuroDisney however, if you look close enough at the end, that's exactly the same lake they used to make "Lake Disney" at the EuroDisney site before they put anything there! It's very freaky but at the same time incredibly interesting! XD

Michael Jackson had a 3D-film featured in the Science Fictiony part (what's it called again :P). I guess they took the movie down by the end of the 90's, because when I wanted to see it when I got there in 2001, it was no more ;(

It's interesting that the ad is for Euro Disneyland (now Disneyland Paris) yet all of the video footage was just of the Magic Kingdom in Florida.

I suppose it was already launch year so they didn't yet have enough time to film any footage of the actual Euro Disney site yet. Then again, if you watch the EuroDisney commercial before this one (that I also submitted), the lake at the end is the same lake in EuroDisney before they put all the hotels around it!

Oh, one more thing. Back in 1992, I don't think Michael Jackson was in trouble the way he is now over here in the USA. But yeah, it does seem a bit creepy now to see him. Of course his nose has changed a lot since then too.

No he wasen't, it wasen't until 10 years later until we all found out. And he looks so, so creepy now. Which is ironic of him to do stuff like "Thriller" and "Ghosts" because the characters he played in those things are what he has become now! XD

The commercial is from 1992 and like I said in the video description, it can be seen on the end of the original UK video release of "The Rescuers Down Under". However, this actually *wasen't* the first! Hours after I uploaded this, I found an even older commercial in my copy of "The Little Mermaid" (original 1991 UK release), chances are I'll upload that onto YT as well! That said however, someone already uploaded the French version of that commercial.

Hey EB, I still think your commercial spoofs would be awesome to see. Your comments mean a lot to me. I just wanted to let you know that. I'm hoping to do a video on ettiquite at the table. It involves napkins. It is supposed to be a comdedy/rant. Oh, and I do enjoy seeing the commercials from other countries ;-) I would love to see more, especially the funny ones. ;-)
