Hello! Thanks a lot for this useful video. By the way, I hear a lot of people keep on talking about Kinovelax Diet Plan (just google it), but I'm not sure if it's good. Have you thought about Kinovelax Diet Plan? I've heard many unbelivable things about it and my mate lost a lot of weight with it, but she refuses to tell me :(
Hey! Have you ever tried - fast abs magic (should be on google have a look)? Ive heard some great things about it and my friend got great Six pack abs and lost a ton of weight with it.
1st off, adding any resistance to your sprint will increase speed when the resistance is removed. A fairly easy concept. 2nd, he's probably burning 2x the calories in half the time it would take to do this exercise for 20 min with no resistance or a slow 60 min jog. Just becuase you retards don't understand something, doesn't make it wrong.
Oh hey! Have you considered - fast abs magic (just google it)? Ive heard some great things about it and my cousin got ripped Six pack abs and lost a ton of weight with it.
@absolootlee76 Of course that's true! the courses recommended by WeightLossAction.Info works really amazing! I have lost a bunch of weight really fast.
i think the resistance band kind of reduces the power produced because its holding you in one place and you can't explode out properly, i reacon its better to go for a 20 minute run involving uphill sprints and optional choice of adding exercises, for me its ok i have many hills in my area where i can sprint hills which is best exercise i can do for cardio/fat loss
Cool, Im making my own audio interval training MP3 for my player. I also have been researching HIIT and read this same study but I didn't think the 12 sec recovery meant to fully stop only to slow the pace down. ??
@djrazr thats exactly what i was thinking the "hiit" workout says for beginners 30 seconds of sprint dude do you know what the fuck are you saying 30 seconds of sprints its a lot!!! one sprint is like 8-15 seconds not 30 seconds lol
@kikeronaldo In the US Army we do intervals of 30:60s or 60:120s. But you are only operating at a max of about 80%. Then once you are proficient at that, we start doing it with a load (IBA), which adds about 10 extra pounds.
mddrrrr !!!! is not solution for cardio you good cardio? ok run run run and runnnnnnn run run run and runnnnnnn one, look the paysage is good two musculation blood is turn good and run is good this solution is fucking footage mdr
You can make that gear from nylon webbing and exercise bands or tubes from Cando
I live in sprint country (think Asafa and Usain) and I am about to start manufacturing that equipment (good for squats too) and others but I'm not sure about the benefits, so I'm going to try it myself. give me some feed back on your improvements
hey there!!! i am doing HIIT training once a day from monday till saturday and have a days rest. i go 30 sec sprint and pause for 30 for 20 min on the tredmil. is that ok, feel good afterwards, but dont feel as though im losing weigt. can i do it twice a day or not. or am i doing somthing totaly wrong? can anybody help. thanx
Why don't you just get a gym membership and do it on the treadmill I walk at 3.5 for a minute then run at 9 for a minute and I do this for 25 mins then I jog for another five mins after I do some super sets for my abs
I would HIGHLY APPRECIATE it if someone could find me those bands that he tied himself with the tree.. im looking EVERYWHERE for those and i couldnt find a single website. Please please please link me or email me @ mingui91@yahoo.com
you can do this with a bunch of different variations if you feel over trained on the sprint type. backwards, side to side, skips, side hops, front hops so many things you can do. after a few weeks of straight sprinting like this you start to feel over trained not to mention if you want to maxamize the fatloss and running its best to work the muscles from the different angles as to not get injury or overuse in certain muscles
A more effective exercise is Max Interval Training, created by a Track and Field athlete.......It's idea is to flip the HIIT method on its head, so its like working out on your maximum for 4 minutes straight, then rest 30 seconds, then workout again for 4 minutes straight, then rest again 30 seconds.,.....you have to get yourself to the maximum, and requires a lot of will power.
@LPmotionpictures thats just basic interval training with a new name put to it. anybody working up to a marathon or half marathon does that kind of training. starting out at about 60:90 for about 1.5miles. then varying the rest vs/ jog portion of the running to increase the running portion and decrease the rest portion. you dont do high intensity on it though. you cant maintain high intensity for 4minutes there is no way. it supposed to be an easy jog alternating with a fast paced recovery walk
@housetrance11 thats not true at all. when you run a 4 min mile they are conditioning endurance and speed wise to keep up the pace. its just like running a marathon you condition yourself to do it but its not high intensity just because its a long pace. it becomes a steady state cardio when the pace is near ever the whole time. then variances like fartleks and intervals start increasing the intensity. just bc you can do it fast for a long time doesnt mean its high intensity.
good stuff, makes total sence. i read that after doing a heaps of cardio, it conditions your body to be stronger, and it ends up taking more time to burn the same amount of calories. have a few friends that run alot at the gym and are getting no ware, so are getting into interval training. its the future.
Hi, I was wondering where can I get this MP3 and I guess more important where, or how do I make that Resistance bands Vest, Ive looked for the past 3 days and Nothing comes up they are all different types of vest....So can you help me with this??? you can reply here or send me an email to jessnava.tv@gmail.com. @belgradebobcat916 because he is using the bands to increase the power in his legs and cardio at the same time thus increasing the intensity and heart rate. imagine running as hard as you can and something always pulling you back as opposed to just doing a 100m sprint. totally different. sprinters do this type of training along with parachutes and increase their power and also increase the ability to keep their form during the whole sprint instead of standing up out of the blocks
Has no one ever heard of the target heart rate for fat burning? You don't need to kill yourself to burn fat! Find out your personal target heart rate for burning fat.
This is bullshit. There is no such thing as partial fat burn. This means you can't burn your belly fat faster than other parts of your body. The key to the fat burning is cardio, and cardio means exercising while your heart beat rate is between %65-80 of its max. amount. Any exercise is fine as long as you keep your heart beating fast enough.
@yunusowic Actually anything above 65% max heart rate typically utilizes the body's glycolysis system which uses carbohydrates as its main fuel source. Anything under 65% the body will use the oxidative system (fat burning) which uses fat as its main fuel source.
I've been doing it up some hill and stairs in 17 - 22 second intervals from quicker start to slower towards end. The only problem is that the walking during the recovery doesn't get me back down to the bottom of the hill again in less than 45 seconds to 1 and half minutes (from quicker at start to slower at end). I think I might try and just do it jogging on the spot, I can do it indoors as well then.
a really good workout is when you do 20/10 intervals 20 on 10 off start off lower body with some switch lunges squats knee tucks then go to abs with plank get ups go into plank go up on your hands then back to plank then situps then upper body pushups chinups and then do 8 sets of everything n you should be in pain!
Hey I have seen this video many times and I can't find that kind of band anywhere at all. Whats it called and where can I get it? Please, please please respond
HIIT is NOT any better than longer slower activity.
If you had actually looked at the research you would know that when the two types are controlled for energy expenditure, fat oxidation over a 24 hour period is euivalent.
@TheCrackbinge he is training for performance as well as fat loss, the resistance allows him to stress the muscles he is using much more than free running therefore creating a workout that not only is building muscle but cutting fat as well.
HIT works on fitness rather than fat burning. This will call on carb stores rather than fat stores due to the high heart rate the work out will produce. Jus my two cents.
I am so tempted to write "Did he died?" ... but I wont. Cant wait to get my Gymboss interval timer in the mail and get started. Not too keen on the soundtrack. Although I am sure if you had the time and energy you could create your own interval training soundtrack using a software program like Audacity.
Great soundtrack. 8 on and 12 off. I wonder how this compares to Tabatas with 20 on and 10 off. Either way sounds intense and I love intense. Thumbs up!!
I use many different methods to work out, but, HIIT has to be the most effective for me. I have a hereditary neurological disorder that effects my periphiral nervous system, if I work out every day it just makes my weaker. With the HIIT workout, I train 2-3 times a week for 10-30minutes and definitely see gains in strength, endurance and body composition, and it gives my body time to recover. The biggest benefit for me is I can really challenge myself each time I train, a challenge makes it fun.
can people tell me why this is brand new Bruce Lee was doing HIIT bk in the 70's for evidence please refer to the book called "the art of expressing the human body" by John Little...
its not a new training technique, any sort of start stop training is essentially interval training. Even playing sports, its just not scientists have cottones on and have been able to increase efficiency and tailor workouts.
haha, dont worry about the bands. just do the same thing around a track without bands. HIIT definitely doesnt require any kind of equipment; maybe he has limited space.
I was wondering if you had any luck finding one of the bands like the one in this video your comment said you were looking and I would like to know also. Thanks
It is impossible to target one area of your body for fat loss, your body burns fat during some exercises. It has no preference as to WHERE it takes the fat from.
It actually does. Your body first targets the fat where it stores it last. So, if the last place you store it is in your arms, this is the first place your body will burn it. This is the way the body tries to maintain homeostasis.
OK, so how do you find out where you last stored fat? How can you possibly maintain you can target fat loss in one area of the body? I have only used the term Human homeostasis refered to the balance of TOXINS in the human body, as fat is not a toxin what do u mean by "This is the way the body tries to maintain homeostasis?"
Very easily. Everyone stores fat in different areas first, and last. The first place I store fat is in front of my Rectus Abdominus and my obliques. For most women, the first place they store it is in their thighs (but not all women). Everyone is unique, and all you have to do is observe your own body. Homeostasis is simply the ability of the body to maintain a balance. Whether you're referring to fat, toxins, physiology or endocrinology is irrelevant.
Thanks for that but just one more question, why did one group lose belly fat faster than the other group, did the second group lose thigh fat? Did both groups lose the same amount of weight? I am really interested in how they TARGETED belly fat. I honestly thought that it was impossible, how can you take someone off the street and promise them they will lose belly fat?
You're right in that you cannot target belly fat. Your body dictates where it will lose fat first, not your mind. If you are lucky enough to have belly fat as the last place you pack it on, then it will be the first place you lose it.
it doesn't matter if u sprint, skip, do jumping jacks, or whatever. As long as you try to incorporate your whole body, and stick to the time interval. I like 2 minutes of skipping, 1 minute of rest (it's easy to time.) Get a fuckin clock, set it up, grab a rope, crank some music. 15 minutes(including rest time) every other day. It's not too hard on the body and it gives your arms a pretty good workout too.
This video is just stupid, will give you an injury if anything. Before you start thinking about interval training you need to find out what your training for, Sprinting (Anaerobic) or endurance (Aerobic) Both have different interval training times.
Its not hours in the gym, its years in the gym. 3hours in a gym weekly is all you need to be healthy and muscular, with correct diet obviously. If you eat shit, you are shit.
@heavynsad well think about construction workers.. they get a workout all day every day.. working 10 hour days usually 6 days a week so thats 60 hours a week and they dont lose any weight.. it takes months.. but im sure if you worked hard enough you could do some proper HIT training you might be able to lose 5 pounds, and most of it would be water, dont lose weight too fast or youll look horrible, with excess skin and stuff.. over doing it is a waste of time, 1 step forward 2 steps back that way
its the rest bro... rest is the most important part... exercise breaks you down, rest makes you stronger, and the diet is like the cement for the work done during rest,
Yup! Jump rope and jumping jacks work, too! If you're a beginner to HIIT, try starting off with 30 seconds with a 15 second break, for about... 3-5 minuets! Then, move up to 1 minuet, and taking a 30 second break. And so on!
so this really works right? i mean you lose body fat without losing muscle mass right? I read something about activating your HCL in order for this to work.. but im not even sure if that's what it is.. cant remember but you probably know what im talking about
As long as you keep... I forgot the exact number, but as long as you eat enough protein a day, you won't lose any muscle mass, it helps to keep lifting, too. But, as long as you eat a enough protein a day, you should be fine. As said, keep lifting whilst you do HIIT, it'll help a lot.
If you are lifting heavy and doing this you can still maintain and build muscle. There are studies that show you can eat as little as 800 calories a day and still maintain muscle as long as you lift heavy. The body is smart and won't sacrifice muscle if it is being asked to move heavy weight. When you do cardio training without lifting heavy, you will lose muscle. If your goal is fat loss then this is how it should be done.
The recover isn't done well, cause you can't just stop, but keep your heartbeat rhytm on about 60% of max, but not stop! Keep running when it's recover! When you spring, you got 90% of rhytm, but when you stop, it starts falling to 30-40%, it's not good for fat-burning.
True, you cant stop for too long, or you lose out on the full benefits. But for one starting out, id say its a good idea not to over do it, so in that case, id say that whats demonstrated here is a good place to start.
so what about the guy demonstrating.. he stopped didnt he? is it better to do it normally? like actually sprinting then walking? or with a resistant band and actually stopping for 12 seconds?
I still don't agree. If you're starting, you can put the less time for sprint and give more of it to the trot, for example: starting with 60 secs of trot, 10 sec sprint, 30 secs trot, 10 sec sprint... and do as many intervals as you can without exhausting yourself (yeah, there SHOULD be the feeling like you're about to vomit, but I'm talking about the whole day and the day next). Greetings ;)

a really good workout is when you do 20/10 intervals 20 on 10 off start off lower body with some switch lunges squats knee tucks then go to abs with plank get ups go into plank go up on your hands then back to plank then situps then upper body pushups chinups and then do 8 sets of everything n you should be in pain!

Sorry ,morons........
HIIT is NOT any better than longer slower activity.
If you had actually looked at the research you would know that when the two types are controlled for energy expenditure, fat oxidation over a 24 hour period is euivalent.
ObesityMyth 1 year ago
Why not just sprint normally? Rather than look like a retard trying to escape a tree. Timmy!
TheCrackbinge 1 year ago 4
@TheCrackbinge he is training for performance as well as fat loss, the resistance allows him to stress the muscles he is using much more than free running therefore creating a workout that not only is building muscle but cutting fat as well.
droski1020 1 year ago

Thumbs up!!

Question: Can u build muscle and lose belly fat at the same time??
Pigroota 1 year ago
I use many different methods to work out, but, HIIT has to be the most effective for me. I have a hereditary neurological disorder that effects my periphiral nervous system, if I work out every day it just makes my weaker. With the HIIT workout, I train 2-3 times a week for 10-30minutes and definitely see gains in strength, endurance and body composition, and it gives my body time to recover. The biggest benefit for me is I can really challenge myself each time I train, a challenge makes it fun.
tickyul 1 year ago
can people tell me why this is brand new Bruce Lee was doing HIIT bk in the 70's for evidence please refer to the book called "the art of expressing the human body" by John Little...
nikkademus1 1 year ago
its not a new training technique, any sort of start stop training is essentially interval training. Even playing sports, its just not scientists have cottones on and have been able to increase efficiency and tailor workouts.

haha, dont worry about the bands. just do the same thing around a track without bands. HIIT definitely doesnt require any kind of equipment; maybe he has limited space.

It was probably done to illustrate the technique without having the camera man run behind him.

It is impossible to target one area of your body for fat loss, your body burns fat during some exercises. It has no preference as to WHERE it takes the fat from.
richieelliott 2 years ago 4
It actually does. Your body first targets the fat where it stores it last. So, if the last place you store it is in your arms, this is the first place your body will burn it. This is the way the body tries to maintain homeostasis.
yahoopl3 2 years ago 2
OK, so how do you find out where you last stored fat? How can you possibly maintain you can target fat loss in one area of the body? I have only used the term Human homeostasis refered to the balance of TOXINS in the human body, as fat is not a toxin what do u mean by "This is the way the body tries to maintain homeostasis?"
richieelliott 2 years ago
Very easily. Everyone stores fat in different areas first, and last. The first place I store fat is in front of my Rectus Abdominus and my obliques. For most women, the first place they store it is in their thighs (but not all women). Everyone is unique, and all you have to do is observe your own body. Homeostasis is simply the ability of the body to maintain a balance. Whether you're referring to fat, toxins, physiology or endocrinology is irrelevant.
yahoopl3 2 years ago
Thanks for that but just one more question, why did one group lose belly fat faster than the other group, did the second group lose thigh fat? Did both groups lose the same amount of weight? I am really interested in how they TARGETED belly fat. I honestly thought that it was impossible, how can you take someone off the street and promise them they will lose belly fat?
richieelliott 2 years ago
You're right in that you cannot target belly fat. Your body dictates where it will lose fat first, not your mind. If you are lucky enough to have belly fat as the last place you pack it on, then it will be the first place you lose it.
yahoopl3 2 years ago
it doesn't matter if u sprint, skip, do jumping jacks, or whatever.

That isn't good for your legs long term.
Darrenov 2 years ago
This video is just stupid, will give you an injury if anything. Before you start thinking about interval training you need to find out what your training for, Sprinting (Anaerobic) or endurance (Aerobic) Both have different interval training times.
Gibz101 2 years ago
can you change your body in 1 week if you go crazy and
work out 115 hours in 1 week w/ the perfect diet? Is it hours in gym or time?
heavynsad 2 years ago
Its not hours in the gym, its years in the gym. 3hours in a gym weekly is all you need to be healthy and muscular, with correct diet obviously. If you eat shit, you are shit.
Gibz101 2 years ago
it doesnt take years..... you can do it in 3 months and be extremely fit, maybe not a bodybuilder but fit
PremierZeb 2 years ago
@heavynsad well think about construction workers.. they get a workout all day every day.. working 10 hour days usually 6 days a week so thats 60 hours a week and they dont lose any weight.. it takes months.. but im sure if you worked hard enough you could do some proper HIT training you might be able to lose 5 pounds, and most of it would be water, dont lose weight too fast or youll look horrible, with excess skin and stuff.. over doing it is a waste of time, 1 step forward 2 steps back that way
knewok 2 years ago
u will die if you did this...you wouldnt even make it near halfway ...thats way way too much stress for your body in one week
PremierZeb 2 years ago
its the rest bro... rest is the most important part... exercise breaks you down, rest makes you stronger, and the diet is like the cement for the work done during rest,

Depends on what you, yourself can handle. If you wanna push yourself to the limits, do so.-
Emoisum 2 years ago
oh alright... and it doesnt always have to be sprinting right? it can be doing jumping jacks or jumping rope? thanks
Seifer007 2 years ago
Yup! Jump rope and jumping jacks work, too! If you're a beginner to HIIT, try starting off with 30 seconds with a 15 second break, for about... 3-5 minuets! Then, move up to 1 minuet, and taking a 30 second break. And so on!
Emoisum 2 years ago
so this really works right? i mean you lose body fat without losing muscle mass right? I read something about activating your HCL in order for this to work.. but im not even sure if that's what it is.. cant remember but you probably know what im talking about
Seifer007 2 years ago
As long as you keep... I forgot the exact number, but as long as you eat enough protein a day, you won't lose any muscle mass, it helps to keep lifting, too. But, as long as you eat a enough protein a day, you should be fine. As said, keep lifting whilst you do HIIT, it'll help a lot.
Emoisum 2 years ago
If you are lifting heavy and doing this you can still maintain and build muscle. There are studies that show you can eat as little as 800 calories a day and still maintain muscle as long as you lift heavy. The body is smart and won't sacrifice muscle if it is being asked to move heavy weight. When you do cardio training without lifting heavy, you will lose muscle. If your goal is fat loss then this is how it should be done.
pax41 2 years ago
hmm alright thanks a lot ya'll have been very helpful
Seifer007 2 years ago
The recover isn't done well, cause you can't just stop, but keep your heartbeat rhytm on about 60% of max, but not stop! Keep running when it's recover! When you spring, you got 90% of rhytm, but when you stop, it starts falling to 30-40%, it's not good for fat-burning.
Kopyttek 2 years ago 3
This is true.
lolocaust15 2 years ago
true...after sprint u should run slower....than sprint again...
Rodjeni1991 2 years ago
True, you cant stop for too long, or you lose out on the full benefits. But for one starting out, id say its a good idea not to over do it, so in that case, id say that whats demonstrated here is a good place to start.
beaster29 2 years ago
so what about the guy demonstrating.. he stopped didnt he? is it better to do it normally? like actually sprinting then walking? or with a resistant band and actually stopping for 12 seconds?
Seifer007 2 years ago
I still don't agree. If you're starting, you can put the less time for sprint and give more of it to the trot, for example: starting with 60 secs of trot, 10 sec sprint, 30 secs trot, 10 sec sprint... and do as many intervals as you can without exhausting yourself (yeah, there SHOULD be the feeling like you're about to vomit, but I'm talking about the whole day and the day next). Greetings ;)
Kopyttek 2 years ago
True enough. Though some people might even find too much. But that all depends on how far the individual is willing to push themselves.
