Could you please specific exactly what acc cable you are using? I am having trouble getting this set up and all roads lead to the wrong cable. I need rapid fire shooting (sports), so a delay is not acceptable. Thanks!
I have all the setups .. the Flex TT5, the Mini TT1 and the acc cable but I can't trigger my camera !!!! I tried these setups on my 5D MK II and on the 40D and it still can't trigger.
The Mini was really not designed with this in mind.
However, if there were a simple hot-shoe block made for the foot that had a Mini plug port, one could set the Mini for “Basic Trigger Mode”, put on the block, plug in the cord (hand or foot switch) and a way you go. I don’t see an accessory for this in the foreseeable made by PocketWizard. One could create such an item using one of the many PC blocks that has a PC cord included.
Another question on how to trigger a remote camera for a continuous motor drive burst. More exactly, how do I connect a footswitch or other button to the transmitting MiniTT1?
What's your experience of using this in "real life"? For example, if you want to trigger a remote camera at an outdoor sports field, football, soccer, etc... and you may find yourself sitting more than 100 yards away and you need the equipment to work (now and then) for at least two full hours.
How does the TT1/TT5 combo work compared to the Multimax/Plus II? Is it better going with 2 x TT5 or will it work with TT1 as the transmitter under those conditions mentioned above?
Yes it does, as long as your lens is in the 'AF' Position.
But, the best way to work is to focus lock with adequate depth of field, set manual mode and tape the lens. As when in 'AF' mode, if the camera can't achieve focus, it will never fire...
