When this was originally released for the PC Engine CD-Rom, a hardcore veteran of the game commented in a review that it was better than the arcade original, extra sound effects and speech. This and the X68000 are two machines that I regret never having had the money back in the 80s to get them.
best port of SF1 ever...but nothing to fuss about..the PC ENGINE was in the same class as the sega genesis and the snes....just go check the port of SF2:CE for this wonderful computer;)
Whew brings back some painful memories. ^^ I remember finding this game very tough because of the controls, the hadoken, and all had the same button commands as SF2 yet they were much harder to pull off. They did a lot of damage though so I guess it was like a trade off. Cool video.
Fighting Street is one of the titles that I would like to check out once I get a CD add-on for my TurboGrafx-16. I wonder if the controls were improved at all from the original arcade version Street Fighter? From what I've gathered, The TurboGrafx-16 CD version is more colorful, while the arcade has more clarity/depth for the backgrounds. I love the remix music in this game; it's very "Capcom-y" indeed. It seems to be pretty common, so I should have no problem obtaining this one.
Really? I know some people find a certain charm for it, especially in the voice clips. I guess that means the controls are about as bad as the arcade version, then.

doesn't look like that good of a game, but it has a certain old school charm to it.

TACTICS: Easy Special Moves + Stage Select + 7 Credits
Get a high score, and input ".SD"as your initials (look out for the . dot)
At the title screen, hold LEFT + I + II then press SELECT
If 'CREDIT 7' appears at the bottom of the screen, the trick has worked.
Starting the game opens the 'Stage Select', and during the game, press:
Forward + Select for 'Ha Dō Ken'
Down-forward + Select for 'Shō Ryu Ken'
Away + Select for 'Tatsumaki Sempū Kyaku'
